Description:

From prolific, writer, director, producer Tyler Perry, The Haves and the Have Nots is a new television drama that follows the complicated dynamic between the rich and powerful Cryer family and the hired help who work in their opulent mansion set in Savannah, Georgia.

From the outside, the Cryers are the enviable face of success and wealth, but behind the veil the family’s dysfunction threatens to destroy their world of privilege. Cryer family patriarch Jim Cryer (John Schneider) is a powerful judge whose double-life, including tawdry affairs with high-priced escorts, puts his family and political ambitions at risk. His wife, Katheryn Cryer (Renée Lawless), is the ultimate matriarch portraying a loving and dutiful wife, but she is willing to do anything to protect her family’s status. Their son Wyatt (Aaron O’Connell) is a troubled angry jock who cares little for his own image and finds himself in and out of rehab. His sister Amanda (Jacyln Betham), a struggling law student, tries harder to live up to her parents’ expectations, but unknowingly has befriended a scurrilous young woman, Candace Young, with the power to ruin the entire family.

Hanna Young (Crystal Fox) is the Cryer’s maid and the matriarch of her family. Despite having no money, she has found other types of wealth through religion and virtue. She prides herself on her dutiful son Benny (Tyler Lepley), the glue who helps keep the family together. Hanna does have one dark secret, however, her estranged daughter Candace (Tika Sumpter)—a manipulative opportunist who will stop at nothing to get what she wants.

Other characters in the series include the Cryer’s chef Celine (Eva Tamargo), their wealthy friends Veronica (Angela Robinson) and David Harrington (Peter Parros), and son Wyatt’s rehabilitation counselor, Jeffery Harrington (Gavin Houston).

I am so disapointed with the show so far. It seems like it is all over the place with no direction. The main disapointment is not finding out after months of waiting who was shot. I am a tv junkie and not one show comes to mind that didnt clear up a cliff hanger on the first show of the next season. Really???

I am disgusted with Tyler. Why state at the end of the 1st episode that we would find out who got shot in the next episode with less commercials? There were 12-14 commercials in between each small set. I will probably stop watching, along with many of my coworkers.

Tyler, please get rid of Benny or grow him up. He's like a spoiled little sissy who is so irritating. I'm a widow who has a son, so I get how sons feel about their moms dating . But, can't this be communicated in a less irritating way. Benny's character is boring and vexing. He is not a curt little boy. He's a grown a** man who is one big yuk. Please grow this man up or write him out of the script. He's the only character that makes me want to change the channel. Sincerely!

When are we going to find out who was shot by Amanda? I can't believe how you have deviated from the cliffhanger from last year.

As much as I love Tyler Perry and all of the Madea films, I have to say while watching The Haves and the Have Nots, I was disappointed to see drinking at the party of Hanna's tonight. She portrays herself as a devout christian. So as she commented tonight that Candace needed the Holy Ghost while she had a beer bottle in her hand grieved me as what kind of christian is she with all of the drinking going on at her home. I love the fact that Tyler Perry loves Jesus but this is something that bothered me....

The premiere episode was okay, I think it will be a while before we found out who got shot, but I'm sure it is Amanda. I can't wait to see what Candace has in store for Jim, and love seeing Jim being on the receiving end of being powerless. He was getting too evil and needed to be taking down a notch. I liked seeing this side of Hanna, who was loosening up and having fun and can see the physical attraction between her and Michael, I want them to pair up as romantic couple. I 'm glad she sent Byron away, even though he does have feelings for her he is still Jim's lackey and if he really cared about her he would turn against Jim expose the truth about Wyatt hitting Benny. Don't care for David and Maggie, I don't like or trust her. Although Veronica has gotten very evil I hope she goes after Maggie when she catches them together which will happen in the next episode. Also I didn't care for Benny's attitude at the party, he acted like he was Hanna's husband instead of her son, he needs to back off and worry about his own social life and not meddle in his mother's. Also Benny is just acting too bossy, for my taste between grilling Hanna about Michael and ordering Candace not to leave the house, I understand he wants to look after them but he is not in charge of them, his "I'm the man of the house" attitude will start to get old soon. Then again, I think the accident has changed Benny's personality a bit. I am looking forward to the next episode.

I think it's Amanda that shot herself. The person who was shot had wallpaper on the wall. In the preview of what's to come, blood was on the wallpaper wall the same as what's in Amanda's room not in the room where her mother was sleeping. Also on the premiere episode Wyatt went into his mothers room and his sister's room. You can't see Amanda's face but if you look closely and pause, you will see blood which looks like on someone's face but it's dark. So between the wallpaper and what appears to be blood on someone's face in Amanda's room, i'm going with Amanda.

Hi, Tyler! This season of The Haves and the Have Nots is already off to a wonderful start and every Temptation Tuesday will be getting hotter and hotter than ever. Me, my family and church family are ULTIMATE FANS of this show and we be tweeting along with every episode of the show. We hope that this show and Love Thy Neighbor will be out on DVD because we're hoping for that to happen. Candace is definitely getting her revenge on Jim big time and we can't wait to see...WHO GOT SHOT??? We probably think that it's Amanda because we saw Wyatt still alive on the premiere episode, Katheryn is still in the bed sleeping and Jim is in a war room with Candace, so that leaves only ONE left who was in the mansion that night. So we can't wait to see who it really was. Keep up the good work, Tyler, and we can't wait to see what Candace has in store for Jim on tomorrow night's NEW episode!!! WE LOVE YOU, TYLER!!!

I think that Amanda shot her self, and that Hannah is gonna sleep with the man that had the grand-daughter that got killed by Wyatt, Candace is gonna torture Jim and do the same to him that he payed people to do to her and then Hanna's gonna find Amanda and call or tell someone to call 911 , or either Amanda killed Catherine because she always wanted her parents to get out of her business, and Wyatt's gonna tell his mother about Jim and Candace, and Jim and Celeine , because he knew he was right about what jim was doing with his side-chicks and Candace is also gonna get Warren to kill Quincy and Benny's gonna go after Candace, and he's gonna find Quincy or Warren and the squad will find Quincy as they say stay tuned for nextweek Tuesdays almost here...
