Netflix has shared the first trailer and a first-look photo (seen above) for Tyler Perry’s new crime thriller “Mea Culpa” which is slated to begin streaming on February 23rd.
Written, directed, and produced by Perry and starring Kelly Rowland and Trevante Rhodes, “Mea Culpa” tells the story of a criminal defense attorney who, in the hopes of becoming partner, takes on the case of an artist who may or may not have murdered his girlfriend.
This project will mark Perry’s fifth Netflix feature. Following the announcement of the film early last year, it was revealed that Tyler Perry struck a new, multi-year first-look deal with Netflix, which will see him write, direct, and produce additional features for the streaming service.
