Music Supervisor Joel C. High has been nominated for a Guild of Music Supervisors Award in the category of Best Music Supervision for a Documentary for his work on “Maxine’s Baby: The Tyler Perry Story.”
In addition to lending his talents to this intimate portrait of Tyler Perry, Joel has worked as the music supervisor for previous Tyler Perry projects including “A Jazzman’s Blues,” which earned him two Guild of Music Supervisors Award nominations last year, including Best Music Supervision for Film Budgeted Over 25 Million Dollars and Best Song Written and/or Recorded for a Film. He is set to work on future Tyler Perry projects including “Divorce in the Black,” “Black, White, & Blue,” and “Six Triple Eight.”
The 14th annual Guild of Music Supervisors Awards are set to take place in-person and virtually at Los Angeles’ Wiltern Theatre on Sunday, March 3rd.
