Description:

The film tells the story of Judith, an Ivy League-educated relationship expert who makes her living dispensing marital advice, but is so bored with her own marriage that she breaks her professional code and cheats with a smooth talking client only to realize she has made a huge mistake.

A bold exploration of the intrigue and perils of infidelity, Tyler Perry's Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor is a compelling love story that dives straight into the heart of obsessive passion. "It's about a woman who starts to get restless in her relationship and her choice to be with another man has a huge effect on the rest of her life," explains screenwriter/producer/director Tyler Perry. "She goes on a journey - in her career and in her marriage - and she ends up in a very different place than she expected." In a departure from his previous dramas, this explosive film finds Perry exploring the nature of desire - and just how powerful and dangerous a taste of the forbidden can be. "This is definitely one of the most provocative movies - sexually and otherwise - that I've made," says the director. "There are a lot people who struggle in their relationships. They make bad choices about their marriages. They get divorced. And so many of them don't step out of their situation and really think about the consequences of what they're doing. This movie asks, 'Are you sure you want to do this?' It sends up a flag."

The movie was great me and my husband went. My husband said it was a typical T.P. movie. But he enjoyed it. We thought the ending was going to be different, we didn't see that coming. Kim did a wonderful job a was surprised.

Congratulations Tyler, you did a great job with 'Temptations'. I went to see it this afternoon right after Church and I'm glad I did(sorry I couldnt take anyone with me...they all had plans for the day). I had the added benefit of sitting next to the most excited Tyler Perry fan I've ever met... a white guy! Yes, and he wailed shamelessly through out the movie. The attempt at making Lance Gross' character look old made us all laugh in the theatre inspite of the heartbreaking storyline. We cried, we laughed and we paid attention. You've been heard Tyler, loud and clear. God bless you. I love you and pray your joy will be made complete.

How much time lapsed between the first part of the movie and the part where we learned the ending...the characters looked much older.

For real Tyler....How could you give a HIGHER closing credit to Kim Kardashian than you did Ella Joyce who is an accomplished actress with an incredible acting history. Kim's name should be listed last in the credits....Yuck!

Just as expected, Kim Kardashian's performance in this movie is being panned and critics are frying her royally ... Unfortunately, this bad casting choice is overshadowing the OVERALL message of the movie ... I hope people can overcome this because what Tyler is trying to say FAR exceeds the brief appearances she makes as the co-worker ... even though I had said I was NOT going to go see it, I did do so and was glad I did ... I thoroughly enjoyed it ... hopefully anyone seeing the movie will walk way thinking about something other than Kim's performance, which BTW I agree was icy!
