A successful, wealthy businessman, Wesley Deeds (Tyler Perry) has always done what's expected of him, whether it's assuming the helm of his father's company, tolerating his brother's misbehavior at the office or planning to marry his beautiful but restless fiancee, Natalie (Gabrielle Union). But Wesley is jolted out of his predictable routine when he meets Lindsey (Thandie Newton), a down-on-her-luck single mother who works as a cleaning person in his office building. Outspoken, impulsive and proud- and also recently evicted- Lindsey struggles to make ends meet for herself and her young daughter. But when Wesley offers to help her get back on her feet, his innocent good deed ignites and unexpected attraction- and suddenly Wesley finds himself caught between the life he thought he wanted and the powerful desires of his heartÂ….

HI Mr. Tyler Perry; You are to be commended. You are making good movies although the themes have been hashed over and over agin. The fact is it is better than bang, bang shoot them up! and pimp, whore, momma baby daddy drama. I am glad that you are not playing Madear. I don't understand her character, and I don't like you playing that part. Flopping Aretha Franklin size breast across the screen is not pretty. Please Continue to look for stories with meaning and employing African American Actors, after all. no one else is! :) love ya mucho RonE gotta love me

Tyler, I just wanted to say thank you again for making this movie. When it first came out I had just had back surgery and was unable to go see it, but once it hit the shelves I couldn't wait to go purchase it. Now with all that I'm going though in my life I thought about this movie and decided to come and write you just to say "Thank You". Right now I can relate to the mother in that movie when she was losing everything and still trying to protect her daughter. Everyone of your movies always put a smile on my face and today I really needed that.
