Seriously, You Don't Want to Miss This

All you single mothers who've ever gotten into it with your young adult kids, you need to see For Better Or Worse tonight.

Remember when I told you that Bobbi Kristina was so good that I went back and wrote a whole episode of For Better Or Worse around her? Well that episode airs tonight on TBS at 9/8c. THE ENTIRE SHOW REVOLVES AROUND HER CHARACTER!! It's great and she delivers. It's also the one I was most nervous for her about because the whole story is about her character and her mother's character, played by Cocoa Brown. All you single mothers will appreciate this show tonight. I know you will. You'll be hitting me up bigtime with your messages about this one and I'll be reading... LOL. For Better or Worse tonight on TBS!

And as for House of Payne, the last two of the 254 episodes air tonight on TBS at 8/7c. I've seen all your complaints about this being the last show. I know that millions of you still love it and tune in to it every week. To tell you the truth, I'm not ready to say goodbye to the Payne family either. I think there's still some life left in the show and that great cast. I guess we'll see.

Talk soon,

I did not think that bobbi kristina was good in this. There was no emotion, and her facial expression was always the same. I don't think I have seen a child that calm while she was arguing with her mom.

Felicitations, Mr. Perry. My younger siblings recorded "House of Payne" and watched it before I got a chance. As I got ready to watch it, they warned me that I wouldn't like the ending. Immediately after I watched it, I was disturbed. I thought "How could he end the show like this?" After thinking about it later, though, I found myself liking it. The same reason I like it is the same reason I don't like it. Television shows - especially sitcoms - are supposed to have happy endings; it's the unwritten rule of television shows! We want the happy-spirited, uplifting, smile-bringing endings, no matter how silly, sappy, and/or fun it is. The last episode of "House of Payne" was nothing like that. There was no reslovement; it wasn't happy; it brought confusion and grief. I don't know of a television show that has ever ended like that...But that's why I love it, too! In my mind, that was really gutsy! It took a lot of courage to have this type of ending to the show we've known and loved! It leaves a mystery for the audience to resolve for ourselves until/unless we see something else from them later on. I think I actually like it more than I dislike it! I don't know if you're going to create another show with these characters, or a movie, or what, but I just want to thank you for the gift that you've given us through these characters and this show during the past 5 or 6 years. I appreciate it, and I love it! If you do choose to further this story, let us know ASAP! God bless you, and I love you, brother. BOOYIKA!

Hi Today was a long but wonderful day! I went to the 9:00 am service. I was happy to be at HCCI. I have an awesome pastor! After church, I went to work. I recently accepted a part-time job in a salon. I was a stylist for 14 years. I stopped working as a cosmetologist in 2003 and went to college. Back to how my day went. :-) After work, I met co-workers at P.F.Changs around 7 pm. I was with a party of about 28 people. It took the waiters awhile to get us all seated. I ordered crab fried rice. Management gave us free appetizers for waiting so long. That was a nice and needed gesture. lol The food was so good!! I tried to get back in time to see Sunday Best. I haven't seen it now for 2 weeks. Since I missed Sunday Best, I watched the closing ceremony of Olympics. I have really enjoyed watching swimming, synchronized swimming, gymnastics and track & field.

OMG Tyler. I was so pumped to see the last House of Payne and so "p*****" when it ended. I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt that this was a ploy on your part to get us so riled up that we would demand HOP to be brought back. Because you and I and every else knows that is no way to END a series. So I am going to hope and pray your ploy works. However if it is 2013 and it is not working please do a reunion show and bring resolution to Miranda and Calvin. Was she going to leave her son too? That would make her a "dead beat" mom and that is not the character we know and love. It is beyond frustrating to viewers who for years invest in characters and then to have a series end with so much unresolved. It is not fair to us. So if your ploy doesn't work do a reunion show and get it right. And get more shows please we need them. Ask Oprah to put them on if TBS won't.

Mr. T. Perry, My husband and I were extremely disappointed to learn that the last episode for House of Payne was ended. How can you in good concious end a show with unresolved drama between Miranda and Calvin? It seems that this was the precursor to the beginnings of another set of shows, especially when Curtis Payne has gone back to the "firehouse" and the other couple has moved to a new life, and their children also have matured. It would be so interesting to see what happens next in their lives BUT now we have to wait. We can't believe your creativity has been exhausted for this series. Please reconsider and give your loyal fans what we want! Some more House of Payne!! We know you work hard and have other projects but this is many families favorite show that we can call our own. Help a brother and sister out!

Mr. Perry I have been a TP fan for many years. I have supported all of your plays, movies and TV shows. My favorite TV show, by far, has been (and IS) "House of Payne". Whenever I can't watch it live I always DVR it. I was extremely disappointed when I watched the recording of the last episode. Miranda's divorce announcement may have been plausible as a seaon finale (a bit of a cliff-hanger, if you will) but it felt ALL WRONG as a SERIES finale. I would have expected better from you and your writers.

  • jonae houston texas

hello my name is jonae foxworth i am 17 yrs old. i recently just watched the last part of house of payne. this is my favorite show that you have ever written. i am in the media academy for tv and brodcasting at hightower high school in missouri city texas. my family adn i wacth this show all the time and to see that this was the series finale broke our hearts. to get dtraight t0 the point i think having calvin and maranda get a divorce at the end of the series was not a good idea. the ending of a show should be happy not sad so it can leave us off with a happy state of mind about the show instead of thinking are they really going to get a divorce. the house of payne was a great show throughtout the years. but i really don think you should of ened the show that way. it made me happy at first because floyd is one of my favorite characters but in the end i was really upset on the ending. if you can find it in your way to bring it back on and tell us what happend next on the house of payne that would be great. please do not do a spin off thi show with just calvin and maranda. i feel like you watching in my house at my dad while you were writing curtis payne part. he helps make the show i know this is alot but if you do read this take this into consideration!! thank you and have a bless day!

Tyler, Please don't say "good-bye" to the House of Payne nor to its' excellent and awesome inspiring cast members. The television series still has so much potential, and is still filled with lots of creative themes. Since watching the show, there are so many different types spin-off themes that can be used for new episodes. It is sad for viewers - whom I think have been accustomed to tuning-into laughter, group solidarity and family connectedness in that tiny half an hour time slot - to lose such an organized and very articulate television series built on solid family principles. I am praying that God illuminates greater dimensions and bring forth new possibilities for the House of Payne television series!

Hi, Mr. Perrry: I too did not like the way the House of Payne ended. There is so much more to explore with Janine, CJ, the kids, Ella, Curtis and Calvin and Miranda. What about Claretha and her medical issue with lukemia. I was so waiting to see how that issue played out. I love the show, I watch it all the time even the reruns I am such a fan that I can quote some of the lines just like the characters do. I love all your work. I did not want the House of Payne to end. It just shows the reality of family. Family is not perfect, but in the end they are all that we have. They were wholesome with issues and that is reality. Thank you for all that you do. I also am getting accustomed to For Better or Worse. Love Angela and Marcus, the other characters need some getting used to. Will tune in to all your works. Thanks again.

Tyler perry I love house of pyane it was the funniest shows ever . I don't want it to end. Will you ever do more seasons of house of pyane , it can't end when miranda left calvin and ask for a divorce.

  • shyunna il Riverdal

Mr.Perry I'm a young teen (14) and I really think house of payne should go on I watched all the episodes and the ending of house of payne I honestly think it ended wrong. In my opinon it should be a continuation, and if the show does have to come to an end for any reason can the finale be sometying special the viewers can all remember in a good way. I personally dont like finales to be left open like it is, but if you cant do anything about it I still love the show. Thanks, Bye :)

I don't want this show to end, this show really taught me a lot about life. If it wasn't for Tyler Perry and House of Payne I couldn't get through one day. They made me laugh when I was down. I am going to miss this show but I hope there's more coming. Best Show Ever!
