I 'm Going To Take a Long Break
I don’t know if you remember this or not, but around 2005 I took off from touring my Madea plays for about 5 years. During that time, I was working mostly on movies and TV shows. Well, as much as I love to be out on stage and doing a live Madea show, the time has come again for me to take a long break from the stage. I have some major projects that I'm working on that will require a lot of my time and effort. Just know that I did not want to stop this tour until I had hit as many cities as possible. So I'm going to finish out this Fall leg of the tour and then take a long break.
Madea Gets a Job will start the last leg of the tour on September 20th and end just before Thanksgiving 2012. It was also very important to me that the ticket price start at $25. If you have never seen me live, you have never seen me at all. I'm telling you, ask anyone who has and they will tell you. Come out and see me and bring your family. This show will have you rocking and rolling and laughing and crying and singing all the way back home. You’ll see!

What is wrong with you???Seriously? You find NO humor in the character of Madea?? ANY of his movies? They are EXACTLY what some of us need right now and in the future!!! He isn't 'making fun' of anyone or any situation at all!! Besides....some of his movies/plays/roles are based on HIS OWN life and experiences...what makes YOU so different from any other person on this planet??? DON't watch them if they/he offends you! That's what I do......Call the Po-Po!!!! He's brilliant, generous, funny and an all around great guy. Deal with it hun!

Hi big country! I'm glad to hear that you are taking a break. I hope that madras will be taking a break as well. Let us miss her. She could use some plastic surgery too. Lol!!! She know she is ugly. :) almost 200 people was laid off at my job today. It reminded me that nothing is permanent. Even though you are the owner and founder of tps..it will not be everlasting. You need to rest and enjoy life. Why are you making more movies? Will it be something that we haven't seen before? I'm getting tired of madea. I love you, but madea needs a vacation. In africa. Let her get stuck over there like those animals in madagascar lol. She will blend in with the lions. Have fun on tour. I saw the show in dallas. That will be my last madea play. I'm not going to anymore. I will get the dvd. Have a great year. I might not be on your board for a while. I am dedicating time to god and trying to figure out where I need to be. I feel like jonah. I will move to georgia one day, but now its texas. I've been hearing georgia since 7th grade. If god opens a door I'm there. I'll be praying and listening to god. Love you ...

Hey Tyler! I know exactly what you mean, you need five years off to work on your major project. Writing an autobiography and a movie to follow it, is hard work. I started writing my autobiography two thousand and seven. I'm near the light at the end of the tunnel. Your Detour Project Portfolio is soon to be delivered to you.
