Tyler Perry has revealed his next upcoming film: a drama called Black, White & Blue. Written by Perry, who is also set to direct and produce, this is the first project as part of his four-movie deal with Amazon. The film is set to star Kat Graham, Tyler Lepley, Meagan Tandy, Josh Adeyeye, RonReaco Lee, Jimi Stanton, Shannon LaNier and Nick Barrotta. Tyler Perry Studios’ Angi Bones and Will Areu, as well as Jamall Ellzy, will be producers on the project alongside Perry.
Black, White & Blue follows Fela Blackburn, whose life is shattered when she loses her husband, Rodney Blackburn, at the hands of a police officer. Determined to get to the bottom of the incident and seek justice, she leans on her best friend, Marley Wells, who is a lawyer, and Marley’s husband Tony, who is a former cop turned private investigator. As she attempts to use their influence to find the truth, Fela learns that her entire world is rooted in lies and betrayal.
Perry is set to deliver four projects with Amazon, which will be released on Prime Video. He recently wrapped the WWII drama Six Triple Eight and thriller Mea Culpa for Netflix.
