Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Again? is now streaming on Netflix. Perry wrote, directed, and stars in the new movie, which marks his second feature film release of 2026 after Tyler Perry’s Joe’s College Road Trip, which debuted at #1 on Netflix in February.

Tyler Perry will appear on The Today Show and The Jennifer Hudson Show to talk more about the film on Monday, September 14th.

The third entry in the Why Did I Get Married franchise centers on the ensemble cast’s reunion at a wedding in Lake Como, Italy, where two children from the franchise’s core group of friends — portrayed by Perry, Jill Scott, Richard T. Jones, Michael Jai White, Tasha Smith, Sharon Leal and Lamman Rucker — are getting married. Taraji P. Henson, who has worked with Perry a number of times in the past, also joins the cast as the mother of the groom.
