“Tyler Perry’s Joe’s College Road Trip” Out Now On Netflix

The latest chapter in the Madea universe is here, and it’s already soaring in popularity. Tyler Perry’s new film “Joe’s College Road Trip” is now available to stream on Netflix, and in the weekend following its release on February 13th, the film quickly became the #1 movie on the streamer in the U.S.

After appearing in 12 Madea films, Madea’s infamous brother Joe is taking center stage in “Joe’s College Road Trip.” Played by Perry, Joe embarks on a road trip with his sheltered grandson BJ, turning what should be a simple college visit into a cross-country disaster filled with hilarious antics. The film also stars Jermaine Harris and Amber Reign Smith. This marks the latest release from Perry’s ongoing creative partnership with Netflix, where he continues to write, direct, and produce films and series across multiple genres.

Ahead of the premiere, Perry appeared on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!, where he shared with Jimmy that he based “Joe’s College Road Trip” on his crazy Uncle Joe. Watch a clip of his appearance below.
