Tyler Perry’s “Beauty in Black” has reached #1 on Nielsen’s streaming charts, shares The Hollywood Reporter. The Netflix drama recorded 1.36 billion minutes of viewing for the week of March 23-29, moving it to the top overall spot on the charts.

Written, directed, and produced by Perry, “Beauty in Black” stars Taylor Polidore Williams, Crystle Stewart, and Amber Reign Smith, among others. The series follows two women who, despite their differences, eventually find themselves entangled in each other’s lives. The drama is part of Perry’s previously announced multi-year first-look deal with Netflix, where he is set to write, direct, and produce series for the streamer.
