Tyler Perry has announced his latest project with Netflix: Mea Culpa, a legal drama, which Perry will write, direct, and produce. Actors Kelly Rowland and Trevante Rhodes are set to star in the film, and Rowland will also produce alongside Perry, Angi Bones, and Will Areu. The ensemble cast also features Sean Sagar, Nick Sagar, and RonReaco Lee.
Mea Culpa tells the story of a criminal defense attorney who, in the hopes of becoming partner, takes on the case of an artist who may or may not have murdered his girlfriend. This project will mark Perry’s fifth Netflix feature, following Six Triple Eight, which recently went into production.
