“Straw” Scores Biggest Netflix Movie Audience of 2025

Tyler Perry’s Netflix feature “Straw” has nearly doubled its viewership in its second week on the streaming platform, and has garnered the biggest audience a Netflix movie has seen so far in 2025. Written, directed and produced by Perry, “Straw” stars Taraji P. Henson as a single mother who faces a series of unfortunate events that lead her down an unexpected path. The film also stars Sherri Shepherd, Teyana Taylor, Glynn Turman, Sinbad, and Rockmond Dunbar, and is Perry and Henson’s fourth movie together, the latest project to come out of their long-standing creative relationship.
