Netflix has released the first-look images for Season 3 of Tyler Perry’s “Beauty in Black” ahead of its premiere on August 27th. In the latest chapter of the riveting drama, Kimmie, played by Taylor Polidore Williams, finally levels the playing field as tensions rise to another boiling point, partnering up with Mallory, played by Crystle Stewart, to keep their footing as the Bellarie family battles. 

“Together, they navigate a ruthless world of blackmail, revenge, and buried secrets as the family wages war against one of its own, threatening to bring the entire empire crashing down,” a synopsis from Netflix states.

Though previously thought to be the show’s last season, Season 3 is no longer where fans have to say goodbye — the streamer recently announced that the beloved show will return for a fourth season. This renewal stemmed from “Beauty in Black” being a true fan favorite. The first season of the show spent seven weeks in Netflix’s Global Top 10 and reached #1 in 28 countries. Season 2 spent six weeks in the Global Top 10 and reached #1 in 17 countries.

Written, directed, and produced by Perry and produced by Angi Bones and Tony Strickland, “Beauty in Black” stars Taylor Polidore Williams, Crystle Stewart, and Amber Reign Smith, among others. The series follows two women who, despite their differences, eventually find themselves entangled in each other’s lives. The drama is part of Perry’s previously announced multi-year first-look deal with Netflix, where he is set to write, direct, and produce series for the streamer.
