A Jazzman’s Blues has added new award nominations to its list of achievements — the film has been nominated for an American Cinema Editors Eddie Award, as well as two Guild of Music Supervisors Awards.
Editor Maysie Hoy’s work earned an Eddie nomination for Best Edited Motion Picture (Non-Theatrical), while Music Supervisor Joel C. High’s work earned a GMS Award nomination for Best Music Supervision for Film Budgeted Over $25 Million. “Paper Planes,” an original song written by Ruth B. and Terence Blanchard, earned a GMS Award nomination for Best Song Written and/or Recorded for a Film. A Jazzman’s Blues was also recently nominated for four NAACP Image Awards.
Ceremonies for the ACE Eddie Awards and the Guild of Music Supervisors Awards will both take place on March 5th.
