It was announced last week that Tyler Perry’s Sistas and The Oval have been renewed by BET for seasons five and four, respectively.
The Oval provides insight into the daily lives of White House staffers and just marked its third season finale with “Road Kill.” Sistas, a series that grounds audiences into the realities of dating as a thirty-something woman, will wrap its current season this summer before heading to Season Five.
According to Nielson ratings, Sistas averages 1.6 million total viewers and The Oval 1.3 million each week. This reception has secured both titles the network’s top two slots among all cable entertainment series.
Tyler Perry writes, directs, and serves as the executive producer for both shows.
