Tyler Perry Will Sit Down with Host Gayle King for Directors Series Q & A at Tribeca Film Festival

Tyler Perry Studios is gearing up for the summer season and thrilled to announce Perry will be kicking off this year’s Tribeca Film Festival leading a special discussion with CBS Mornings Co-Host, Gayle King for “Tribeca Talks: Directors Series.” Name a more iconic duo, we’ll wait.

The festival, taking place June 8-19th in New York, offers a stacked lineup of “Talks and Reunions” across entertainment sectors where Perry and King join the ranks of Taylor Swift, Common, Seth Meyers, Robert De Niro, and Al Pacino among other industry heavy weights.

“Audiences will have the opportunity to hear from a diverse and captivating lineup of award-winning entertainers at the forefront of cultural leadership,” said Paula Weinstein, Tribeca’s Chief Content Officer. “We are excited to present a compelling slate from leading storytellers across film, television, music, art, and comedy.”

The subject of Perry’s film-focused conversation centers on artist and director Julian Schnabel’s groundbreaking film, Before Night Falls released in 2000. From there, Academy Award-winning director, producer, and screenwriter Adam McKay offers remote viewers a virtual finale, airing exclusively to Tribeca at Home.
