The official trailer for Tyler Perry & DeVon Franklin’s upcoming faith-based film Ruth & Boaz — which is coming to Netflix on September 26th — is out now. This is the first project as part of their partnership with the streamer to produce faith-based films under a multi-year, multi-picture, first-look deal. People Magazine has shared the trailer, as well as exclusive first-look images.

Written by Mike Elliott and Cory Tynan and produced by Tyler Perry and DeVon Franklin, ‘Ruth & Boaz’ stars Serayah, Tyler Lepley, Phylicia Rashad, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Jermaine Dupri. The film is a modern-day retelling of the story of Ruth and Boaz, an iconic Biblical love story. Set in Tennessee, the film follows a young woman who escapes the Atlanta music scene to care for an elderly widowed woman, only to find the love of her life and gain the mother she never had.
