Description:

Tyler Perry’s Love Thy Neighbor, the new situation comedy by writer and director Tyler Perry is a wonderfully fresh show about a middle class family, and their daily joys, struggles, triumphs, and fumbles. Hattie Mae Love (Patrice Lovely) lives in the simple home that she and one of her husbands bought some time ago. Linda (Kendra C. Johnson) her daughter, splits her time between Hattie’s home and the apartment she sometimes shares with her on-again off-again husband, Lionel. Danny (Andre Hall), Linda’s son, is his mother’s pride and joy. He is young, handsome, smart, and looking for a job. After graduating from college, Danny finds himself on his grandmother Hattie Mae’s sofa. Floyd (Palmer Williams, Jr.), the uncle, through his late brother’s marriage to Hattie Mae, is an ever-present thorn in the family’s side. Like old luggage, they can never seem to get rid of him.

In the first season of this comic tale, Hattie Mae has had enough of grown people living in her house. She puts her foot down and shows the toughest love there is by sending Linda and Danny to the door. Danny moves in with his friend Sam, and Linda eventually helps out down at Hattie Mae’s Love Train Diner.

The Love Train is an old locomotive car converted to a diner that serves up all of Hattie Mae’s old recipes. It is the neighborhood hang out spot that, along with great food, serves up a whole lot of fun. As Linda and Floyd commit to help Hattie Mae with the family business, blessings abound. Soon the customers multiply, and so do the laughs, the drama, and the love of a very comical family.

With the help of Danny’s new roommate Sam (Jonathan Chase), Danny soon lands a job at an internet design firm. Danny proves to be a star there. However living and working with Sam, a 30-year-old who is trapped in his teens, will prove to be more of a nightmare than Danny could ever imagine. As the parties get wilder, the women get crazier, and Danny’s young life becomes a humorous tale of dodging fanatical friends, and eccentric family members.

Nevertheless, Danny begins to excel at his new position when the Chicago office sends the beautiful Marianna to take over as boss of the Atlanta office. Marianna quickly falls in love with Danny’s work ethic and virtuous character. As a close knit team and family, the young twenty & thirty something’s embark on a number of adventures that go along with being young professionals in a contemporary & technical society.

All in all, Tyler Perry’s Love Thy Neighbor is a collection of stories that warm the heart, provoke thought, and always serves up a heap of laughs. Through all the changes, there is one constant, and that is the universal language called Love. It’s all about love.

So, did anyone see that coming. The part about Drew misunderstanding about Troy at the bus stop with the big suitcase. Did you all think that she was going to leave Danny? What did you all think about her meeting her mom and Drew seeing her with the big suitcase meaning that since she wasn't going nowhere apparently her mom was with and Drew didn't even speak to her aunt. What is really going on with that? Talk about family values??? I'm guessing that because Linda had Danny at an early age she has found a friend in Drew which is half her (Linda) age. Talk about each one teach one! Oh Lawty.

Hi Wanda I did see the two new episodes tonight the first one with Drew misunderstanding about Troy leaving I think that she did not see her aunt all she seen was Troy with the suitcase. I think that Linda is still upset with Troy for marring Danny but she needs to talk to Danny to ask him why he did not tell her that they was getting married. That was his place to let his mother know. On the second episode we find out that Troy talks to Drew's father all the time so their are close I think Drew has mental problems

Ok Ms. Wanda so you was right, it was a BIG misunderstanding. However I must agree with Ms. Gwen that Drew didn't see her aunt. I think she was so preoccupied with the thought of Troy at the bus station with a big suitcase that she didn't see anything else. That being said Danny should give an explanation of why he did what he did, marriage Troy suddenly, without notice

Since I've been missing for a while I went back to read a couple of posts to catch up. I think that everyone's character on the show have strengths and weaknesses and everyone of them can improve in an area, as we all can. That being said I think that if Danny and Troy would have gotten married the right way, without being secretive to his mom and friends and not eloping they could accept it better. What was the urgency and secret for? If he really loves her he was going to do it anyway regardless of what they said. All I'm saying is, if it was done differently the acceptance would probably be different.

Hi Mrs. Gwen, I must have missed the part of who the guy was. I heard Drew tell Sam that it was her uncle. But now that would explain alot. Drew is jealous of Troy. That would also explain why Drew always calling Troy names. Drew must have been Cute as a child and was often told that and it went to her head. Which obviously confused her about how life really works. Meaning that God has he way of making the so call ugly duckling the baddest chic, who comes highly recommend.

Hello everyone, It is obvious that Troy and Drew have some childhood history that is slowing coming out. But one thing that I have noticed feel free to bring it to my attention if I'm wrong but Drew has set the minds set of a bad picture of Troy to everyone. In other words Drew is bad mouthing/outsourcing her own cousin to everyone. And I noticed that Troy just look over Drew name calling and her telling everyone bad things about her. With that being said it shows Troy the bigger person. True be told Drew should have took the time to reunion with her cousin instead of putting her off on Danny and painting a picture of Troy as a misfit.

Hello Mrs. Gwen, I've miss you. I try to call it like I see it. Drew and Troy has some childhood issues, that could easily solved if they talk it over. First Drew should stop with the name calling. Second, she need to tell Troy how she feels/ felt about Danny. Third Troy should let Drew know how she felt/feels about her name calling. Then the healing can begin. The fact is Drew had long enough time to hook Danny, however, you can't catch a fish if it doesn't b*** the bait. Drew, Sam and Linda need to accept the fact Danny and Troy are married.
