Description:

From prolific, writer, director, producer Tyler Perry, The Haves and the Have Nots is a new television drama that follows the complicated dynamic between the rich and powerful Cryer family and the hired help who work in their opulent mansion set in Savannah, Georgia.

From the outside, the Cryers are the enviable face of success and wealth, but behind the veil the family’s dysfunction threatens to destroy their world of privilege. Cryer family patriarch Jim Cryer (John Schneider) is a powerful judge whose double-life, including tawdry affairs with high-priced escorts, puts his family and political ambitions at risk. His wife, Katheryn Cryer (Renée Lawless), is the ultimate matriarch portraying a loving and dutiful wife, but she is willing to do anything to protect her family’s status. Their son Wyatt (Aaron O’Connell) is a troubled angry jock who cares little for his own image and finds himself in and out of rehab. His sister Amanda (Jacyln Betham), a struggling law student, tries harder to live up to her parents’ expectations, but unknowingly has befriended a scurrilous young woman, Candace Young, with the power to ruin the entire family.

Hanna Young (Crystal Fox) is the Cryer’s maid and the matriarch of her family. Despite having no money, she has found other types of wealth through religion and virtue. She prides herself on her dutiful son Benny (Tyler Lepley), the glue who helps keep the family together. Hanna does have one dark secret, however, her estranged daughter Candace (Tika Sumpter)—a manipulative opportunist who will stop at nothing to get what she wants.

Other characters in the series include the Cryer’s chef Celine (Eva Tamargo), their wealthy friends Veronica (Angela Robinson) and David Harrington (Peter Parros), and son Wyatt’s rehabilitation counselor, Jeffery Harrington (Gavin Houston).

Anyone who reads this board knows I predicted last season that War was in love w/Candace! this just proves it; he's so hurt that she would play him like that! Candace is such a liar; she's gonna get what she deserves. AND SO IS VERONICA!!!!! YES!!!! I want Jeffrey to tell David that it's Benny Veronica's fooling with. The DA is not scared of Catherine, I don't care how powerful her father WAS!! Now David has two women fighting over him! LOL! This is getting SOOO good! It's gonna be every man for him/herself before this is all over! Wyatt's gonna scr-w up w/the drugs, getting high, Jeffrey's gonna get implicated in killing Quincy w/Candace, little Q's gonna end up the hospital and getting taken from Hannah! I can't wait for next Tues.!!!!

This show is spectacular! I have been watching it since the 1st episode of season 1. I have been telling all of my co-workers at the hospital, neighbors, and relatives and friends about it. they are now all tuned in on Tuesday nights and so grateful for being introduced to it. I'm not much of a user of social networking sites, such as facebook or twitter but I use the old fashion word of mouth to spread the good news about this wonderful creative masterpiece. You were able to bring to light some very heart and thought provoking ideas of the human experience that no other writer has been able to do so wonderfully. I saw you in Tampa during the performance of Madeas Big Happy Family on the day of my birthday; the words of encouragement you gave as you sat down and spoke to us after the performance was greatly appreciated. I'm so grateful that you collaborated with spiritual teacher and phenomenal woman,Oprah Winfrey, on the OWN network. Thanks again for all you do

Mr Perry, I have been enjoying the show, However, I don't like the entire season being one night/day. The conversations between characters take a whole episode. also, why is it that no one knows what's going on from street to the other? for example: when Wyatt hit the child and Benny, Candace didn't find out until the next season. She doesn't know Wyatt did it. While I understand her not being aware that Wyatt hit Benny because that case hasn't been solved, no body knows anything in the same town???? I enjoy the show and want to keep watching, so please step it up a little.

I complete agree. One whole season Benny was in a coma. This season they are going to be in jail. There is waaaayyyy too much dialogue that doesn't go anywhere. I liked the show in the beginning but there isn't any suspense to it anymore. There are too many story lines that he is focusing on at one time and it doesn't all come together. Please Tyler pick it up and get back to the suspense of season 1. This is just a drag and a bit of a disappointment.

The legendary Tyler Perry and Cast - A plus all the way and love y'all. Y'all nailed it every season, episode, and every Tuesday moment. Y'all deserves a Oscar, Emmy, NAACP, SAG, etc award for best of everything. Congratulations continually on y'all success and everything. Can't wait for next tuesday and much love y'all. BTW, when you are going bring Candace's notorious cousin to give Veronica a run for her money? Please bring back the past characters too if you can too. Happy Friday y'all!!

Hi, love the show. Will you be incorporating any entertainment segments in the show, like something that would deem to attract a young club audience. Maybe someone could have an illegitimate grown child to pop up and take the younger viewers into a more exciting and corrupt nightlife. A lot goes on in and outside of these nightclubs you know. It would make for an interesting addition. (www.authorsden.com.kat).

Love the show. Don't kill off Quincy. I like the dynamics he brings to the show. Every show needs a villain that you love.
