Description:

From prolific, writer, director, producer Tyler Perry, The Haves and the Have Nots is a new television drama that follows the complicated dynamic between the rich and powerful Cryer family and the hired help who work in their opulent mansion set in Savannah, Georgia.

From the outside, the Cryers are the enviable face of success and wealth, but behind the veil the family’s dysfunction threatens to destroy their world of privilege. Cryer family patriarch Jim Cryer (John Schneider) is a powerful judge whose double-life, including tawdry affairs with high-priced escorts, puts his family and political ambitions at risk. His wife, Katheryn Cryer (Renée Lawless), is the ultimate matriarch portraying a loving and dutiful wife, but she is willing to do anything to protect her family’s status. Their son Wyatt (Aaron O’Connell) is a troubled angry jock who cares little for his own image and finds himself in and out of rehab. His sister Amanda (Jacyln Betham), a struggling law student, tries harder to live up to her parents’ expectations, but unknowingly has befriended a scurrilous young woman, Candace Young, with the power to ruin the entire family.

Hanna Young (Crystal Fox) is the Cryer’s maid and the matriarch of her family. Despite having no money, she has found other types of wealth through religion and virtue. She prides herself on her dutiful son Benny (Tyler Lepley), the glue who helps keep the family together. Hanna does have one dark secret, however, her estranged daughter Candace (Tika Sumpter)—a manipulative opportunist who will stop at nothing to get what she wants.

Other characters in the series include the Cryer’s chef Celine (Eva Tamargo), their wealthy friends Veronica (Angela Robinson) and David Harrington (Peter Parros), and son Wyatt’s rehabilitation counselor, Jeffery Harrington (Gavin Houston).

I feel that Tyler Perry is making his audience wait too long, 2015 is just too long, I'm asking him to bring it back sooner. Start an online petition to bring it back sooner. I Love the show

Dear Brother Tyler, It feels as if you are making us wait a lifetime for the next episode. Your soap opera is the very first one I have ever watched, and I'm no youngster. This work of yours is very intriguing. However, it is more than an exercise in patience to wait until 2015. To prevent your schedule from taking its toll on me, I have begun to write my own continuation of the story. I will be finished well before next January. I can't stand waiting because your characters are too much alive in my head for me to leave them suspended for weeks and months. I am keeping them alive. They have not all died. Do you need help with any of the research or writing? Or do you think it is effective to make your audience wait? Yes, you are extremely creative, talented and hardworking, but there are others who can assist you to craft these episodes so they keep coming each and every week.

We'd like the Haves and the Havenots in South Africa please! & access to clips on the OWN website, it's so depressing to have seasons cut in half and not knowing what's happening next.

Who even cares about HAHN anymore! What idiot would sit around talking about it for the next six months? I'm getting ready for SCANDAL!!!!! Shonda Rhimes knows how to BRING IT AND BRING IT CONSISTENTLY! If I still remember HAHN is coming on in January of next year, I may get back into it....but until then, I am going to work really hard to forget all about it!

GET ON UP REVIEW....Just saw GET ON UP.....Meh! I would give it a 2/5. You would be better served to just pop in your James Brown CD. For those of you (such as myself) who are #teamcandace and already missing our girl Tika...I hate to break it to you, but our Tika Sumpter had one sentence in the entire movie, and about 2 different 5 second screen shots of her dancing and gyrating as a background singer. She was in this movie less than half the time she was in the season finale of HAHN. (and we all know we saw her for about one minute then) I saw Tika in a interview where she said she played Yvonne Fair and talked about how Yvonne had a relationship with James and even had a child with him etc. etc. Well NONE of that was in this movie. They didn't go into enough depth about anything. I was actually bored for about the first 45 min. The guy who played James Brown nailed it, but the writing for the movie was just mediocre. Had the writing been awesome and had they actually really told the story of James Brown, this could have been a contender for an Oscar for Chase Boseman. Why they called it a biopic remains to be seen. I don't know anymore about James Brown now than I did before I saw the movie, and the ending was really stupid. Half of the stuff you would want to know about James Brown was never discussed. Sure you will tap your foot and enjoy the funk....but you can do that on you ipod. Disappointed!

Please don't let David sleep with Maggie. I think David is such a upscale guy. If there is to be drama with him let, it be something else. Please don't let him cheat on Veronica not unless he leaves her for good. Just a thought.

I am so sorry that I missed this season. I was trying to catch up online and notice that I can't find the shows on any website. Not Own, ours, HULU or Netflix. It's very sad that I really could see any of the last season. Please let me know if the episodes are on a website so that I can catch up. Being a working mom I count on the internet to catch on my favorite show. Great Job TYLER!!! I heard the season finale was amazing!

I agree. I wanted to see all the episodes I hadn't seen and there were no way in doing that unless you DVR'd it and even then you weren't guaranteed you got all of them. You can't even view them on Demand. They should make this and any other OWN show available elsewhere for those who can't see them during their regular day of showing. I have friends who would love to see it, but can't because the Network is not offered with "Basic" through TWC. Make this more accessible (using other methods, such as: online, Netflix, ect.) and I'm sure you'd broaden the audience.

That was a great finale. You gave us everything: Drama. Intrigue. Suspense. Glamour. Books-of-the-Bible, Violence. Comedy. Schadenfreude. You DID that. My husband and I watch together and we enjoy it tremendously. Just a couple little favorite tidbits: When Quincy greeted David with "Sup Ni__? " Whew! I jumped off the sofa and ran in the kitchen. THAT was so funny. We hollered. My other little favorite part was when everyone was outside after Jim *finally* got that arrogant tail of his kicked (hence the schadenfreude); I loved Veronica cracking up laughing at Jim. We love her. Also, Celine yanking Jim's tie was right up there as well. Those are the things that make this series so good to us. These actors are stupendous. They really bring your stuff to life. It's enjoyable to watch. We are thoroughly entertained and completely hooked. No matter what happens, we're going to watch so keep doing your thing, your way.

I'm w/you, Angie; I thought the season finale was great! I absolutely loved seeing Jim get that beat-down... just delicious!! Quincy was a hoot, the way he addressed David! And isn't that how they do it 'on the real'?? Thugs don't care about protocol! LOL! The whole scene was right on! *I'm getting kinda tired of all the petty criticisms about the dialogue, the acting of the characters, etc.! Either watch and enjoy, or don't watch! I'm totally hooked and will wait for Jan. 2015; there's much more story to tell! See you then!

PREDICTIONS FOR NEXT SEASON Quincy breaks into Veronica’s house again, waits for her to get home and rapes her. She will be too scared to report it because he will threaten to tell that she got him out of prison. David doesn’t screw Maggie because he will remember that Veronica has his balls in her Hermes purse. The dude interested in Jeffrey turns out to be Jim’s son with the ADA. Amanda accidentally fires the gun, the bullet ricochets off the ceiling and lodges in her brain. She dies after saying Eenie, Meenie, Miney Moe one last time. The professor is still running around the park with a knife between his shoulder blades. No one offers assistance. Dingbat tells Jeffrey that she is pregnant and his mother forces him to marry her. Quincy and Candace’s son is really being raised by Quincy’s mother.

I have one question Mr. Tyler Perry..Why are you making your audience and fans wait until January? I can see maybe November .... By Jan the show might not be as exciting as I it is now..Just asking ..and I still love your work..:)

My question is why on the last episode didn't Amanda go into her father's bedroom? She went back and forth from her brother's room to her mother's room. Does she already know what happened to Jim? Also everybody leave Hanna alone. She's wonderful. As with her coldness toward Candace, she's fed up with her after trying to straighten her out all these years.

I wondered why Amanda didn't go into Jim's room too. Maybe it was just a writing error, since Tyler knew Jim had been kidnapped, he mistakenly left Jim out of Amanda's silly room hopping or maybe she saw him get kidnapped and we'll see that next season. @ Hannah, I look at it like this: No doubt Candace is a piece of work and has weighed heavily on her mother's heart for a long time. But I believe if she had done something abhorrent enough for her mother to hate her, I think Benny would not try so hard to make them make amends. He would understand why Hannah hates her and he'd even be mad at her too. The fact that he is not, tells me that Candace in all her antics has never done anything so bad that she deserves the treatment she gets from her mother.

Hannah sees HERSELF in Candace! Hannah was a 'loose' woman, messing around w/married men! Benny and Candace have two different fathers; clearly, she hated Candace's father more than she hated Tony; maybe she thought there might be a chance w/Tony, which is why Benny is her favorite, but we see how that turned out! You know how it is when women 'dog out' the men that did them wrong to their children; Hannah took her negative feelings about Candace's father out on HER, and Candace just chose to make her mother's life miserable! I think they'll come to an understanding next season, through the baby; I believe Hannah's right, the baby may not be dead! Maybe Candace and Q will get together the right way!
