Description:

From prolific, writer, director, producer Tyler Perry, The Haves and the Have Nots is a new television drama that follows the complicated dynamic between the rich and powerful Cryer family and the hired help who work in their opulent mansion set in Savannah, Georgia.

From the outside, the Cryers are the enviable face of success and wealth, but behind the veil the family’s dysfunction threatens to destroy their world of privilege. Cryer family patriarch Jim Cryer (John Schneider) is a powerful judge whose double-life, including tawdry affairs with high-priced escorts, puts his family and political ambitions at risk. His wife, Katheryn Cryer (Renée Lawless), is the ultimate matriarch portraying a loving and dutiful wife, but she is willing to do anything to protect her family’s status. Their son Wyatt (Aaron O’Connell) is a troubled angry jock who cares little for his own image and finds himself in and out of rehab. His sister Amanda (Jacyln Betham), a struggling law student, tries harder to live up to her parents’ expectations, but unknowingly has befriended a scurrilous young woman, Candace Young, with the power to ruin the entire family.

Hanna Young (Crystal Fox) is the Cryer’s maid and the matriarch of her family. Despite having no money, she has found other types of wealth through religion and virtue. She prides herself on her dutiful son Benny (Tyler Lepley), the glue who helps keep the family together. Hanna does have one dark secret, however, her estranged daughter Candace (Tika Sumpter)—a manipulative opportunist who will stop at nothing to get what she wants.

Other characters in the series include the Cryer’s chef Celine (Eva Tamargo), their wealthy friends Veronica (Angela Robinson) and David Harrington (Peter Parros), and son Wyatt’s rehabilitation counselor, Jeffery Harrington (Gavin Houston).

Tyler Perry is a wonderful writer and producer. My husband and I love to watch all of his shows. We look forward every Tuesday. . Congratulations Tyler on your new born baby. May God Bless you and Keep up the great work. I was writing a book, but I stopped, because I found out the exhusband could sue me. Tyler, your TV shows should be two hours, instead of one hour. Have a great day! Liz

Tyler Perry, I would like to know why you can't give your fans the final two hour season The Haves and Have Nots, that your fans are watching across the United States Of American. There are many fans who is watching the night time drama of Empire, a very good excellent show is already coming out with the final season two hour special. I also who like to know why Oprah, is showing only have of the episodes clips, of The Haves and Have Nots, and the other episodes that you are producing on her Oprah Winfrey Network, for the fans it should be a full screen episodes, that the fans can enjoy watching. Please response and give your fans the answer that they are requesting. Thank you, I be waiting for your answer

Love this show.....I think a spectacular twist with the Veronica Jeffery chaos should be that when Veronica was younger she was in a g** lifestyle , got in trouble, leading her to meet David. From them meeting the two of them have sex over and over again until it became natural bringing them into marriage. This would explain Veronica's belief system that she is trying to impart onton Jeffery. Other than that love to keep watching for all the twists n turns in the show.

The majority of viewers will want Jeffrey to be free to choose. If Veronica has her way, Jeffery and Melissa get married and even have children. Because you like to throw people off, I think that Melissa and Jeffrey will continue for a few more episode.

I was disappointed that Erika was not in last night's episode. I am looking forward to see how her character and Benny interact. I am also wondering if the gentleman in the hotel lounge is/was her ex boyfriend. I saw Prescilah in the off Broadway play "In the Heights" She was excellent. Great casting by Tyler Perry.

I was hoping Erika would have been on last night's show. It will be interesting to see if her and Benny connect. Or is her ex boyfriend the man in the hotel lounge? As a side note, I have seen Presilah Nunez in an off Broadway play and she was fantastic!!!! I hope you bring her back next season. She would be a wonderful addition to the cast.

I really hope Candace gets what she deserve. To be that manipulating and get away with it without something happening to her I can't see that happening. I hope she loses every penny of that money and I hope Jim Cryer don't get any of that money back. He is a snake amongst a snake, he need another wakeup call too.

I loved the scene with Candace and Hannah and Benny. They are my favorite characters. The dialogue moves a little slow on ocasion, but I watch it every week.

It shows situations that happen in real life. an it will minister to you and help you get you life in order, unless you want to live and be like the characters on the show. I know it is coming up on the final show, but I wish the finale would be a 2 hour show. Would you please consider that for the finale? Good Morning- I want to start off by saying thank you for allowing God to use you. Maybe it's not in a way some people would like, but you don't answer to them, you answer to God. Your messages are always on point and always on time. Last night's episode was right on point and on time. I felt like the scene between Candace and Hannah was a scene that needs to play out between me and my mom. I feel I'm owed an apology. Since the HAHN have been on, my mom and I have both watched. She hates Candace and I love Candace. The more she hates Candace, the more I defend her. And it's all because I knew it was more to the story... This is how I knew. My mom had me when she was 15. By the time she was 21 she had three kids. She believe she thought she was the best mom in the world. I didn't feel the same. Yes, she took care of us. She worked multiple jobs while going to college. But she spent most of her free time trying to get some guy to love her. I saw men come and go, and none of them loved her. I felt like the love she was showering on them should have been geared towards us. They were always more important. So most of my life I felt like she was weak. I never wanted to be like her. The way I felt as a child is still with me. I always have to be in control. Always have to be strong. I love my mother. I love her so much. But until we have a real conversation about things that went on all those years ago there's going to be tension between the two of us. Even after the show last night, we talked about the scene, and she was like, "so what Candace was hurt, Hanna didn't mean it." So, I wrote all of this to say, keep doing what you do. There are so many people who can relate to your characters. Your productions open doors for conversations and healing. Be Blessed~

LOVING THE SHOW. So true to life. Each character has their own strengths and weaknesses and I honestly know at least one person similar to each of the characters. You are doing an AWESOME job. Great actresses. Great Script. I really love the twist and turns. The cast own their characters. I have thought about Hannah and Candace all day. Thought back to when my mom and I had our heart to heart. It truly changed our lives and we were all the more better until the day she went to heaven. I hope that you will continue to have your special when the show ends, when you bring the cast on and talk about the show. I think that is so good. Thank You for such a wonderful show!
