Description:

From prolific, writer, director, producer Tyler Perry, The Haves and the Have Nots is a new television drama that follows the complicated dynamic between the rich and powerful Cryer family and the hired help who work in their opulent mansion set in Savannah, Georgia.

From the outside, the Cryers are the enviable face of success and wealth, but behind the veil the family’s dysfunction threatens to destroy their world of privilege. Cryer family patriarch Jim Cryer (John Schneider) is a powerful judge whose double-life, including tawdry affairs with high-priced escorts, puts his family and political ambitions at risk. His wife, Katheryn Cryer (Renée Lawless), is the ultimate matriarch portraying a loving and dutiful wife, but she is willing to do anything to protect her family’s status. Their son Wyatt (Aaron O’Connell) is a troubled angry jock who cares little for his own image and finds himself in and out of rehab. His sister Amanda (Jacyln Betham), a struggling law student, tries harder to live up to her parents’ expectations, but unknowingly has befriended a scurrilous young woman, Candace Young, with the power to ruin the entire family.

Hanna Young (Crystal Fox) is the Cryer’s maid and the matriarch of her family. Despite having no money, she has found other types of wealth through religion and virtue. She prides herself on her dutiful son Benny (Tyler Lepley), the glue who helps keep the family together. Hanna does have one dark secret, however, her estranged daughter Candace (Tika Sumpter)—a manipulative opportunist who will stop at nothing to get what she wants.

Other characters in the series include the Cryer’s chef Celine (Eva Tamargo), their wealthy friends Veronica (Angela Robinson) and David Harrington (Peter Parros), and son Wyatt’s rehabilitation counselor, Jeffery Harrington (Gavin Houston).

As I said before, Benny's going 'gangsta' this season, messing w/Veronica, the psycho cougar! I told you Hannah was gonna have a fit! This is WAR bet. her and Hannah, and when Candace finds out, Veronica better look out! I'm glad Hannah got the Cryers told about laying hands on her child, even though they don't get along! Hannah may not be working for the Cryers much longer...that little Melissa's gonna turn into a nagging, blackmailing little shrew, out to take Jeffrey and his parents for all she can get! When Wyatt gets a taste of jail, he'll change his tune; I also think that the white man will end up falling for Candace and vice versa, and if Quincy gets out again and goes after Candace, he'll use his connections to take care of him; Candace might just go to NY w/him! Maggie's gonna get her revenge on Veronica by blackmail; and I'm not sure why Celine threw her son under the bus for Jim (is she really that stupid?), but you can bet that 'interview' is gonna get out! Her son's not gonna take being disowned lying down (I don't blame him)! He may do a little blackmailing himself, like Candace did! This is gonna be one heck of a season!

No, she's not. Katheryn is Wyatt's Mother. It was mentioned after the hit and run when Jim and Katheryn were arguing that he has her blood running through his vains. She also mentioned in season 1 that she was pregnant with him when they married.

Why is this show not offered on "On Demand" with Time Warner Cable? Will it ever be?

I really enjoy the show. However, last week I thought something was overlooked when Candace went to her moms house and her brother was there- I was thinking Candace should have seen the SUV in the driveway and inquired about it and Benny would have told her it was Veronica's and who knows where that could have led. I have ideas- It would have given Candace some leverage over Veronica.

This show is too unrealistic! Candace's character has too much power!

For those of us who are not able to watch on air or DVR, Why do we have to wait almost a whole week to view on our computer, iPad or phones? is there anyway the episodes can be made available sooner online?

Why do you have to have the music playing during the show. It is difficult to hear what the actors are saying unless you put the volume up so loud. It does not make sense with having music playing when the characters are speaking. It is not necessary!!!

I am addressing a broadcast problem with The Have/Have NOTS. I love this program. The people chosen for their characters are great. the problem is in California there is an issue with the Broadcast signal 6 times I get a black screen no tv program. I called Charter and since it is only one channel c 118 it is a broadcast issue. IT seemed to be a problem last Tuesday seasons premier and now today 7/14/2014. I am very upset because it one of my favorite programs. I hope you take care of this ASAP

Mr Perry could Amand's dad or mom read Amanda's diary so they could know what the law teacher did to her? I think that would be a great part.

Have to admit, when the show first aired, I was somewhat disappointed...thought the show too much like a soap opera, including the way it felt and appeared on screen. But being a great fan Mr. Perry, I gave it another shot. Then before I knew it I was hooked...love the show, glued to the tube every Tuesday night from 7 until the very last episode.
