Description:

From prolific, writer, director, producer Tyler Perry, The Haves and the Have Nots is a new television drama that follows the complicated dynamic between the rich and powerful Cryer family and the hired help who work in their opulent mansion set in Savannah, Georgia.

From the outside, the Cryers are the enviable face of success and wealth, but behind the veil the family’s dysfunction threatens to destroy their world of privilege. Cryer family patriarch Jim Cryer (John Schneider) is a powerful judge whose double-life, including tawdry affairs with high-priced escorts, puts his family and political ambitions at risk. His wife, Katheryn Cryer (Renée Lawless), is the ultimate matriarch portraying a loving and dutiful wife, but she is willing to do anything to protect her family’s status. Their son Wyatt (Aaron O’Connell) is a troubled angry jock who cares little for his own image and finds himself in and out of rehab. His sister Amanda (Jacyln Betham), a struggling law student, tries harder to live up to her parents’ expectations, but unknowingly has befriended a scurrilous young woman, Candace Young, with the power to ruin the entire family.

Hanna Young (Crystal Fox) is the Cryer’s maid and the matriarch of her family. Despite having no money, she has found other types of wealth through religion and virtue. She prides herself on her dutiful son Benny (Tyler Lepley), the glue who helps keep the family together. Hanna does have one dark secret, however, her estranged daughter Candace (Tika Sumpter)—a manipulative opportunist who will stop at nothing to get what she wants.

Other characters in the series include the Cryer’s chef Celine (Eva Tamargo), their wealthy friends Veronica (Angela Robinson) and David Harrington (Peter Parros), and son Wyatt’s rehabilitation counselor, Jeffery Harrington (Gavin Houston).

I was hooked show #1 and so was my husband. I just watched season finale and it makes no sense at to how the ending fell out. I even had to watch it again on 'On Demand ' to make sure I didn't miss something. Nothing wrong with throwing out more meat to the tiger.we will come back , but this left me cold. PS I think Amanda is alive. Candace is not that shocked or remorseful. Also don't think it is a good idea to show a "baby Daddy' absuing him -though it happens(Baby 'Q') I thought that Benny ran into car and killed the kid thrown into the front seat -but then he would not be let out of jail in a good mood. Benny is gonna have a nice lot a cars as he collects them. he will in stud business with Candace who set him up with having that nice car -but that storyline dropped dead?

Love the show last evening, but did you have to make my girl, Veronica look like she was in tha hood? The scene with her with no make-up and wig...man ya'll had her looking crazy because normally she is dressed to kill. You made you point! It's official, she is mentally disturbed. One flew over the cuckoo's nest crazy. Now, we just have to name the baby. LOL

Season final was horrible. I hated the uncharacteristic behavior of Veronica/Benny in the black SUV.

Hello Tyler I loved last week episode and the season finale. Veronica (Angela Robinson) thumbs up for her she was superb in all the performances. They all were sensational. Benny (Tyler Lepley) will really have a fit when he finds out what Veronica did to get Quincy out. I hope nothing happens to David (Peter Parros). I can't wait to season 3. Just get some rest Tyler. You've done an excellent job with this show as always.

I love this show. All the cast is fantastic. Hannah plays her part well. It takes a good actress to come off to let people really dislike her. She is a piece of work. N*** in air and all. Kathryne. Jim, selene, wyatt, jeffery, david, benny, candace.wonderful cast. Excellent job Tyler as usual.
