Description:

From prolific, writer, director, producer Tyler Perry, The Haves and the Have Nots is a new television drama that follows the complicated dynamic between the rich and powerful Cryer family and the hired help who work in their opulent mansion set in Savannah, Georgia.

From the outside, the Cryers are the enviable face of success and wealth, but behind the veil the family’s dysfunction threatens to destroy their world of privilege. Cryer family patriarch Jim Cryer (John Schneider) is a powerful judge whose double-life, including tawdry affairs with high-priced escorts, puts his family and political ambitions at risk. His wife, Katheryn Cryer (Renée Lawless), is the ultimate matriarch portraying a loving and dutiful wife, but she is willing to do anything to protect her family’s status. Their son Wyatt (Aaron O’Connell) is a troubled angry jock who cares little for his own image and finds himself in and out of rehab. His sister Amanda (Jacyln Betham), a struggling law student, tries harder to live up to her parents’ expectations, but unknowingly has befriended a scurrilous young woman, Candace Young, with the power to ruin the entire family.

Hanna Young (Crystal Fox) is the Cryer’s maid and the matriarch of her family. Despite having no money, she has found other types of wealth through religion and virtue. She prides herself on her dutiful son Benny (Tyler Lepley), the glue who helps keep the family together. Hanna does have one dark secret, however, her estranged daughter Candace (Tika Sumpter)—a manipulative opportunist who will stop at nothing to get what she wants.

Other characters in the series include the Cryer’s chef Celine (Eva Tamargo), their wealthy friends Veronica (Angela Robinson) and David Harrington (Peter Parros), and son Wyatt’s rehabilitation counselor, Jeffery Harrington (Gavin Houston).

Greetings! Mr. Perry, what do you have in store for your fans tonight? I know you are not going to get rid of Candace so I'm not even worried about that, but how does she get away from the Malones? Please don't let David jump in the s*** with that woman, lol. In the finale of last season, Amanda stabbed the professor who raped her. I would like to see the out come of what happened to him. I think his name is Professor Canon. So Wyatt went to Lizzie's grave, huh? I guess Wyatt has more of a conscious than his dad. I do believe one of Celine's children belongs to Jim. I'm loving THATHN more and more every week. Great job, Mr. Perry.v Peace...MJ

Candance, will escape. She can't go out like that and besides that is not Mr. Perry's style. She got to find out about Wyatt and the band of evil that let that man our of jail. Let us not forget about "payback". I want her to make Jim, Katherine and Veronica, get it where it hurts. I like Amanda. I hope that she don't turn on Candance, even though, she was using her at first. I believe Candace like the friendship that they have. Amanda need to make care of that old boyfriend. I don't believe Jeff is really gay. He is too shy. He wants to be but don't know how (do that make sense)? He is a stuck up mommie boy. He need to go with Candance. I love the show. I have all of Tyler Perry and I will continue supporting him. Man, you keep us laughing, crying and on the edge of our seats. May our Heavenly Father, always be with you.

It's me again Mr. Perry; This is a P.S: You are a very good writer, producer actor, etc and I am honestly expressing this to you from the bottom of my heart. I do have one other comment in regards to your shows on OWN. The other show called "Love thy Neighbor" and "For Better or Worse". These are so-so. The older woman on Love thy Neighbor is boring and Marcus' wife on For better or worse is too loud. A woman doesn't have to be loud to be seen. You are such a good wirter/director, it would be nice if you wrote a show featuring young men and women, with ages roughly in their late Twenties to early Thirties or early Thirties to late Forties. I just know you would do a great job writing and directing a show with that age group. You just seem to know how to handle people well! God bless

Godd afternoon Mr. Tyler; Please make Hanna a little less "Holier than Thou". I am a Christian, but she is starting to get very tiring with all the Amens and Hallelujahs. She is also very negative in someways. Like she has all this pent up anger and bitterness. It's getting tiring. And the Cryer's daughter is getting very boring and non entertaining. Everyone else's character is really really good!! I hope David gives Veronica a run for her money though, I am so glad you had him step up to the plate with her. She needs a little shove and I think by you having the Campaign Manager woman going after him is such a great idea! I love Jeffrey! I like how he is transforming. Thanks for reading my comment. Have a wonderful day

Hi Barbara This is one of the best soaps on TV or ever since soaps came on TV. Mr. Perry knows how to keep it moving so I don't get your "boring statements. Also, it is good to have someone in a show like this who professes to be a Christian and stands by it...I love Hannah and her faith! We need to see more women like her honor our Lord and Savior on TV and perhaps our children would be better for it ( teach in the public schools) rather than watching that Bad Girl's Club or those Diva women. I applaud Tyler Perry as a director and a writer. Thank you for Hannah!

AT LAST it is FINALLY starting to get exciting again!!! I am beginning to feel like I did before the stupid hiatus. You might want to get Candace out of that hostage situation as the longer she is tied up....the lower the ratings go. We have gone from 3.59 down to 2.4million viewer and recently up to 2.7million. I think it is ashamed that now it getting super juicy and the storylines are getting really good....in a few short weeks, we will be back to the usual nonsense of a hiatus just at the point when the ratings skyrocket. I just don't understand why they do this!!!! Why wait until ratings are at an all time high and interest is at an all time high....and then vanish. Then when the show returns from hiatus, it takes half the season to get back to the pre-hiatus ratings. Its just all so stupid to me. But at any rate....thanks Tyler for bringing the excitement back to the show. I cant wait until Tues

Hi There! Welcome Back! I missed your posts. Where did you find the ratings? I have been looking for them for two weeks, but to no avail. You are so right. As soon as it starts heating up, then BOOM! Going on hiatus! Dang! I read that the OWN Network ordered 20 more episodes for 2015. Now I would hope that OWN and Tyler Perry don't expect the fans to wait around for six months, give or take a few, before resuming the show, because that wouldn't be good. If you want the ratings to continue to climb and not fall, Mr. Perry and OWN, then you must give the fans what they want! That's all I gotta say for now. Peace...MJ
