From prolific, writer, director, producer Tyler Perry, The Haves and the Have Nots is a new television drama that follows the complicated dynamic between the rich and powerful Cryer family and the hired help who work in their opulent mansion set in Savannah, Georgia.

From the outside, the Cryers are the enviable face of success and wealth, but behind the veil the family’s dysfunction threatens to destroy their world of privilege. Cryer family patriarch Jim Cryer (John Schneider) is a powerful judge whose double-life, including tawdry affairs with high-priced escorts, puts his family and political ambitions at risk. His wife, Katheryn Cryer (Renée Lawless), is the ultimate matriarch portraying a loving and dutiful wife, but she is willing to do anything to protect her family’s status. Their son Wyatt (Aaron O’Connell) is a troubled angry jock who cares little for his own image and finds himself in and out of rehab. His sister Amanda (Jacyln Betham), a struggling law student, tries harder to live up to her parents’ expectations, but unknowingly has befriended a scurrilous young woman, Candace Young, with the power to ruin the entire family.

Hanna Young (Crystal Fox) is the Cryer’s maid and the matriarch of her family. Despite having no money, she has found other types of wealth through religion and virtue. She prides herself on her dutiful son Benny (Tyler Lepley), the glue who helps keep the family together. Hanna does have one dark secret, however, her estranged daughter Candace (Tika Sumpter)—a manipulative opportunist who will stop at nothing to get what she wants.

Other characters in the series include the Cryer’s chef Celine (Eva Tamargo), their wealthy friends Veronica (Angela Robinson) and David Harrington (Peter Parros), and son Wyatt’s rehabilitation counselor, Jeffery Harrington (Gavin Houston).

Hello All, is there anywhere one can possibly find old or new for that matter, full missed episodes of this show? I'd really love to know.

I love this show. But loose me with the religious mombo jumbo. For Hannah to say to her daughter that she prayed to God for her, and God told her to stop, and then say now nobody can pray for her I dont know what God shes praying to, because God doesn't act that way. The bible says that "God is love." But the holy than thou attitude, is overkill. Hannahs facts are missing one impotant thing, Truth. Hannah has been caught in a couple of lies. I don't want anyone to think that Hannahs character is typical of all black females. Tika Sumter is great in her role as Candace But what has she really done? Seems like a victim. Where was Hannah as a mother? Candice needed a mothers guidance. But on to the real deal for me. Angela Robinson (Veronica). OMG Someone please give this woman an Emmy, SAG, Oscar, Golden Globe, Tony, Grammy, she may start to sing.. Hands down, without a doubt, this is the baddest b**** on the entire planet. I'm talking about Angela the actor. For her to do the character she plays, she's gotta to be bad ass. I live for Veronica next move. I'm almost afraid not to follow her. While I love and respect Taraji P. H (Cookie Lyons). Cookie don't have nothing on Veronica. Don't leave out David. I love him because he loves his wife. This is a great show. Keep up the good work.

AMAN & ditto to that! I agree to everything that you said about Veronica, but I want to address Hannah for now--Hannah is a self righteous ole Broke down STINKING A** WANT-TO BE HAG!! She has never been a decent mother to Candy. She chose her boyfriend over Candy when Candy told her that he raped her! And now she is acting like she has lost her mind because Candy is trying to protect her son and won't let her have anything to do with him. I don't blame Candy--before I would let Hannah get her hands on him, I would put him in foster care. I can't stand that old stankass, jealous hasbeen Hannah. She better go back to Sunday school and learn the basics before she start trying to become a self appointed Precher or Profitous.

I have watched this show from the very beginning. I am hooked. I wish the seasons lasted a few more episodes. Love you Mr. Perry!

I am highly disappointed and somewhat confused by one of the recent story lines in The Haves and Have Nots. First, let me say that I am a huge fan of Tyler Perry, both personally and through his works and accomplishments. However, his story of the corrupt police officer putting moves on Jeffrey is completely unnecessary and horrendous. I thought Tyler Perry was most interested in using his works to help bring people together rather than exploit terrible circumstances that can only create more division. There are more ways to bring several of these issues to the forefront without inciting more hard feelings about discrimination against the g** community, misuse and abuse of power, corruption in the police organizations, racial tensions, etc. I am offended, disappointed, confused, and sickened by this use of story line that adds nothing to the show, but rather only assists in causing further animosity and divisions in these areas. I urge Mr. Perry to rethink this story line and end this madness before more harm is done. How can you stand and talk about your personal legacy as being one of peace and unity while creating and advocating these continued discriminations? How sad to think you have taken this tragic turn. Please reconsider this one.

We will never have Justice or defeat ism'ss until we are willing to bring the pink elephant to the forefront. Secrecy is death

Terri, you don't know what you are talking about, however I'll say this much, everybody is entitled to their own opinion and I love the direction that Tyler and his writers are taking with this storyline. Wake up and smell the coffee--this is the 21st century thst we are living in and those thongs are happening every day to our people, or anyone that is not PROTECTED BY THE COMPEXION OR THE COLLECTION $$$$. This is a great media to bring this injustice and sickness to the forefront.

Hi Tyler Perry I was wondering when will the tv show come back on because its really good to watch, me and my family really love this show.

Mr. Tyler Perry can you please run the season finale again please!! Thanks for your hard work I like all the shows you do and I thank you very much for them!! I can't live without them either lol. Thanks Mr. Tyler.

  • James

The season finale was promising and much better than the last few, but the storylines are just getting to be drawn out and boring. We will have had another presidential election by the time the Georgia gubernatorial race even starts. The acting is still way over the top and the dialogue and direction amateurish. Tyler needs to really move on. The characters are interesting, but they have limits. New storylines next season -- please. Also, I love the posts praising Tyler as a Christian. I'm not really certain why that is such an issue on this board, but I doubt he worries about his religion much.

So addicted to HAHN, could you lighten up on Jeffrey. It would be nice to see him finish school and use his education to help abused homosexuals with his personal experience. His mother is just too evil to have such a hold over him. His father should encourage him to finish school and get a life. I'm looking forward to June. Stay Blessed, Sharon

    • lorraine #2177931

Jeffrey isn't in school...he's a THERAPIST @his mother's rehab clinic!!! I admit, he often ACTS like a child where his mother is concerned, but his occupation was established @the very beginning of this show; he was Wyatt's counselor (and friend), who was to make sure Wyatt stayed 'clean' (and he also had a crush on him); didn't you hear him w/the cop? He told him as a therapist, he knew he was 'in the closet' and trying to cover, and urged him to get help! Candace is the one who needs to get her b*** back to law school and graduate, take the bar and move on and take care of little Q, who she claims to love, instead of running w/that high-yella heifer and lying and scheming her way through life!

Lorraine and kevin, DITTO, I am so in agreement with you on that. I love Candy Cane so very much, I guess it's because my life was a mirror of hers, but for the Grace of God he pulled me through, and gave me a WONDERFUL JOB. I'm doing fine now and in August of 20166, l will have worked as a Information Services Specialist/Cataloger for 31 yrs. with the Library system of Newport News, I am eligable, and would like to retire but I'm too young to receive my social security. (I started working at a very young age :) and I have been considering starting a new chapter in life though. Many blessings to Tyler, the OWN network and to all of you that reads my comment.
