For Better Or Worse, Tyler Perry’s sit-com centers around two of Perry’s favorite characters from the big screen- Marcus and Angela. Marcus and Angela were first introduced to the world in Tyler Perry’s blockbuster hit feature films… “Why Did I Get Married”, and “Why Did I Get Married Too”.

For Better Or Worse is a not-so-subtle situation comedy that follows the zany and sometimes tumultuous relationship of the lovesick couple. Tasha Smith and Michael Jai White are back to reprise their roles in the half-hour show. Michael plays Marcus, an ex football player turned sports commentator who owns his own sports talk show. Tasha Smith also resumes her role as Angela, the edgy and outspoken wife of Marcus who is dedicated to her husband, children, and marriage. The show also follows the lives of those who Marcus and Angela call their friends. There is Joseph, Marcus’ best friend and business partner. Joseph is left devastated by his breakup with long-time girlfriend, Leslie. Tired of waiting for a proposal from Joseph, Leslie has moved on to bigger and better things while staying focused on her career and her undying friendship with Angela. Keisha, Marcus’ ex- continues to cause a world of trouble for the group of friends and colleagues. And Jennifer and Todd are still as crazy as ever.

For Better Or Worse is ground breaking television, and is one of the biggest TV shows movie mogul Tyler Perry has ever produced. The sets, high fashion, and the strikingly good looking cast come together to create a truly sexy and provocative half-hour of television. Viewers will experience a fresh approach to the traditional sit-com format that will provide all the elements of well-crafted storytelling and the raw intrigue of reality TV. For Better Or Worse explores the controversial and joyous moments associated with marriage and dating in a 21st Century world. And like always, viewers will leave with life changing messages that have become a trademark of the Perry brand of entertainment. Don’t miss the next Tyler Perry hit… For Better Or Worse.

This is merely my opinion. All of Tyler Perry's sitcoms are NOT funny at all. Straight coonery buffoonery with a lot of drawn out scenes. Tyler P. is a horrible writer also. Needs to start over from scratch. Thanks.

How can I get season 1 and 2 of for better or worse

I have read several post and I disagree with Todd not bing Todd. He cracks me up because i really know people like him and many people like him. people that always says something stupid when it is a serious or heated moment and you just say shut up Vern (oops did I say vern). However, Jennifer…. I feel the writers or you Tylor are making her to be stupid and she was not like that before. It is becoming Mr. Brown like which was why I did not watch that show because he was portrayed as the d*** black which all shows tend to turn to and it is not needed. Family Matters did it to Eddie, Martin did it to Cole and the list goes on and on. They didn't start out as d*** and it was good and seasons later they made them to be d*** and it doesn't do anything for the sitcom. Please make Jen the way she was, that ride or die chick. As for the relationships they are portraying actual relationships that I know. I know EACH of them. I am relay not into that show with Hattie that is not funny. It portrays the blacks as dumb/ stupid all but Hattie and non of the actors can act (or maybe it's just the characters they are playing) this show is horrible. Now… you need to bring back The House of Payne. It's not too late. In fact it will never be too late in my opinion. There were message and humor and no one was portrayed as DUMB. The best show ever to hit the net work for comedy in my opinion. I watch my box sets over and over and still record the repeats to watch when I get home. Lastly, the haves and have not are really good as well. That is a show that I would love to see as an everyday show. Like soap operas. I don't watch them but I would start if that show was on. Oh my goodness I would so love to see that as a daytime drama. Peace and Love and I really hope that YOU read this. You are still an amazing man with amazing works and I pray for your continued success in all that you do on and off the screen.

      Sorry TYLER not Tylor

It takes way way way way way tooooooo long to get a point across. The scenes are sretched way too long with no substance. The fluency of the show is not there. Like it took Jennifer 12 minutes to let Joseph in. I mean this is not a play. It works on stage but not on tv.

Dear Mr. Perry I highly respect and admire your work. However, this show keeps getting worse and worse to the point that I wanted to say something. 1. This show does not resemble "Real Healthy Marriages" and in each episode continues to depict our black women in a negative light. The women in this show are betrayed as stereotypes (Crazy, Lonely oh and Gold Diggers). 2. The episode "Pillow Talk" really who does that..Each episode in my opinion looses focus on a positive message. Not sure what we could take away as a guide for a positive marriage from that episode. Finally, I have been married for 9 years and my parents have been married over 32 years. I recommend that if you want to talk about issues that face married couples that you do a survey of African American Couples and find some of our real issues. - Shared Parenting - Finances - not b/c someone drove us broke b/c we were goal diggers. - Goals & Competition (Men who are not as successful therefore intimidated by Black Women). - Children - more focus on raising good kids. This show has one kid and lots of Crazy, Gold-digger, Repeats. - The Corporate VP or Executive and the challenges of balancing family with the cross dynamics of the husband being a fireman. - The full time student. - The two factory workers. - Religion conflicts Musalim / Christian. I am only throwing out other ideas b/c I would like to see more than the basic sterotypes in the next season for this show. I was also taught not to hand out critisim without offering a solution. Hey! LOVE the show! well at least I used to. Me and my mom would set aside our wednesday nights to watch the show because it was so filled with drama and so filled with suspense. But now, it seems like it takes half the show to get a point across. Like the episode on Wednesday December 11, 2013, when Angela was cussing out Marcus about Karen, It took her around 7 minutes to actually TELL him what she heard. It gets sickening. But ouff!! Leslie getting raped? I can't wait to see what happens next season. But i cant stress enough how much i HATE TODD!! He sucks up all the drama that SHOULD be in the scene and throws it in the garbage! Like when Kesha was cheating on Richard at the ATM, i know that in season 1, He would've went off and crazy, but Todd had to act like a goofy idiot the whole time. But it seams like this season is about laughter when it really shouldn't be. What i really want to see is Jennifer's baby daddy come into the picture. Maybe Joseph find someone new while Leslie tries to get him back after her traumatic experience of being raped, "Karen" be seen in the new season to prove that it wasn't "just a dream", and Kesha and Richard to surprise everyone and actually work things out. and hey.. what happened to MJ???

Imagine if Todd ends up with Jennifer??

i love this show but i just wish it was back on TBS on fridays like it use to. PLEASE. But let me say i'm in love with the show. im Obsessed

  • Karla FLorida

I had hopes for this show. I did like it and I just absolutely hate it now. I don't find anything funny about a woman about to be raped in one scene and in another scene the man that loves her who knows something is wrong with her is being objectified by some horny f** chick. Todd's character is completely and totally annoying, he would have gotten his b*** whooped in real life. None of this is funny, Jennifer is annoying, Todd is annoying. I mean this last episode is supposed to be serious and you have idiots goofing off and I just think it's beyond stupid. I'm out.
