For Better Or Worse, Tyler Perry’s sit-com centers around two of Perry’s favorite characters from the big screen- Marcus and Angela. Marcus and Angela were first introduced to the world in Tyler Perry’s blockbuster hit feature films… “Why Did I Get Married”, and “Why Did I Get Married Too”.

For Better Or Worse is a not-so-subtle situation comedy that follows the zany and sometimes tumultuous relationship of the lovesick couple. Tasha Smith and Michael Jai White are back to reprise their roles in the half-hour show. Michael plays Marcus, an ex football player turned sports commentator who owns his own sports talk show. Tasha Smith also resumes her role as Angela, the edgy and outspoken wife of Marcus who is dedicated to her husband, children, and marriage. The show also follows the lives of those who Marcus and Angela call their friends. There is Joseph, Marcus’ best friend and business partner. Joseph is left devastated by his breakup with long-time girlfriend, Leslie. Tired of waiting for a proposal from Joseph, Leslie has moved on to bigger and better things while staying focused on her career and her undying friendship with Angela. Keisha, Marcus’ ex- continues to cause a world of trouble for the group of friends and colleagues. And Jennifer and Todd are still as crazy as ever.

For Better Or Worse is ground breaking television, and is one of the biggest TV shows movie mogul Tyler Perry has ever produced. The sets, high fashion, and the strikingly good looking cast come together to create a truly sexy and provocative half-hour of television. Viewers will experience a fresh approach to the traditional sit-com format that will provide all the elements of well-crafted storytelling and the raw intrigue of reality TV. For Better Or Worse explores the controversial and joyous moments associated with marriage and dating in a 21st Century world. And like always, viewers will leave with life changing messages that have become a trademark of the Perry brand of entertainment. Don’t miss the next Tyler Perry hit… For Better Or Worse.

Tyler, I'm conflicted as to whether or not I will continue to watch FBOW. I'm so disppointed in Leslie and her decision to end her marriage. She appears more concerned with her status of being married than working on it. In the beginning, she talked about loving Chris but never took his advice on talking things out with Joseph for closure. Leslie never gave Chris a fair chance to show his feelings for her as she silently reminisced over her past relationship with Joseph. She appears unexperienced in relationships not understanding it a two way street. Leslie wasn't honest during the numberous times Chris asked her to lets slow things down. Chris was a true gentlemen and he was willing to wait for Leslie to love him with her whole heart as she did with Joseph. Will she have an emotional breakdown or will Leslie sabatoge each new relationship comparing them to Joseph (someone who could only commit to her when he sees she's "unavailable") before seeking help? Keisha is a "Gold Digger" and Richard will learn an expensive lesson that I hope it does not come to the expense of his partners at C-Sport. If women like Keisha "win" then, it makes what she does okay. Richard although naive truly didn't know what he was getting himself into by marrying her. Keisha needs to be made to find a job and work like everyone else. I will give FBOW a couple more episodes before making my decision. --Sorry Tyler PS: Please stop the "dumb" jokes with Jennifer. They are not funny as too many jokes are distracting to a serious story line.

Tyler I love your work, but this season of For Better for Worse is not good. Too many pauses the acting is terrible. The laughing after every line is bad. The jokes are too long. getting to the point takes to long. It seem like they are reading and not acting, The writers and directors are not good. Where is Ms V? there is no flow please fix this.

I saw this show for the first time today and I was soooo disappointed. TP I KNOW YOU CAN DO BETTER THEN WORSE.

  • Derek L. Sutton

Okay the laughing after every pause is down right annoying. Please stop that and let them act. You have a great cast just to many pauses and way to much laughing. I really am disappointed as the show needs to have more fluent lines and less pauses. I am hoping the show can get better.

I am so disappointed in Leslie -- how stupid is she. This is not a good story line -- how could she treat someone so badly and go against her vows. And she believes that it's ok. She was stomped on and I thought that story line was a bust -- then she finds someone so great and what does she do. And as for Angela and her other friend -- how should they re-act? They try to talk to her and what does she do -- talk about Joseph...Wow how sick -- it's not funny to me. Tyler -- you need to fix this one -- it's sick....

TP....Do you have to have so many laugh tracks? Trust we will know when to laugh

I was really happy to see the direction you were going with the marriage of Chris and Lesley, and now you have rip that rug right from under our feet and made a woman who seemed to be fed up with waiting for a man to love her and marry a man of all our dreams. Now she looks week and pitiful for a man who didn't want to commit to her until she was not available to him anymore. I know its TV but this is where we escape from the real world and we want to see the Cinderella happy life. I'm not going to give up watching for now (but its so hard) with the hope that you will reconsider that story line.

I agree with you on the Leslie/Chris/Joseph storyline. I have my TV set to automatically record the show and after Wednesday's episode I stopped the automatic recording. I will check out the next show to see if I will continue watching. As I stated previously, Joseph didn't even tell his mother about Leslie until she came to visit so why she would want him back is beyond me, but since you never showed the actual wedding that was my insight that she wasn't going to stay married.

It seems as if she is being written as a weakling on purpose...I just can't get with it!

  • Mattie Roddy

I don't understand the current story line of for better or worse. Leslie lived with a man that did not want to marry her and disrespected her. Found someone who did and couldn't commit to someone who respected her. Implied is some silly black woman who thinks that a man who treated her bad is better than one that cared for her. So many missed opportunities.

I agree with all other comments! When the show was on tbs it was more meaningful. Now the acting is so silly and choppy. Too much of not getting to the point. Leslie walking into the salon not saying anything, and Jennifer and Angela going back in forth over nothing, and Marcus and Richard's friend at work is just over the top silly! And Joseph is pitiful, too! Sorry TP, but you've put better stuff out there for entertainment purposes. I'm probably gonna stop using up my recording space with such silliness on Wednesdays and watch L & O special victims or modern family!

Tyler Perry you have got to do some work on the show this season. All the bickering back and forth is super annoying. The guys at work are the worse, especially the young intern and his involvement is so not realistic. The jokes are not funny at all and it takes way to long to get to the point. The story lines need a boost. The season when Bobbi Christina was on was actually the best season to date. I love the concept of the show so do not want to loose the show, but please tweak it as I know you can easily do.

I really love tyler 's work but this show is so unreal and I know longer want to watch it. Joseph is a wimp and stupid. Leslie don't know what is want, angela and jen needs some acting lessons. so I decide not to watch it anymore.

  • preston florida

i truly love tyler's work, i really think he has a good eye for movies and tv, but this show is too far unreal than real. let me explain, i know angela was a chemistry major and when she could not get hired in corporate america, she created her own hair product line( hence how she got a successful salon), but no stylist in america does her clients hair in 6 inch heels and wear the best clothing, plus Tasha's acting is not the same i am used too seeing. she is one of the best hood actresses i have ever seen, but this role is not for her. jennifer is the main reason to watch the show---she is hilarious and down to earth, plus todd is really good as a antagonist. the station head is really not beliveable and keisha is really overacted, but the biggest downfall to me was when marcus found out keisha's daughter was not his----there is no black man in america that would have reacted that calmly.
