For Better Or Worse, Tyler Perry’s sit-com centers around two of Perry’s favorite characters from the big screen- Marcus and Angela. Marcus and Angela were first introduced to the world in Tyler Perry’s blockbuster hit feature films… “Why Did I Get Married”, and “Why Did I Get Married Too”.

For Better Or Worse is a not-so-subtle situation comedy that follows the zany and sometimes tumultuous relationship of the lovesick couple. Tasha Smith and Michael Jai White are back to reprise their roles in the half-hour show. Michael plays Marcus, an ex football player turned sports commentator who owns his own sports talk show. Tasha Smith also resumes her role as Angela, the edgy and outspoken wife of Marcus who is dedicated to her husband, children, and marriage. The show also follows the lives of those who Marcus and Angela call their friends. There is Joseph, Marcus’ best friend and business partner. Joseph is left devastated by his breakup with long-time girlfriend, Leslie. Tired of waiting for a proposal from Joseph, Leslie has moved on to bigger and better things while staying focused on her career and her undying friendship with Angela. Keisha, Marcus’ ex- continues to cause a world of trouble for the group of friends and colleagues. And Jennifer and Todd are still as crazy as ever.

For Better Or Worse is ground breaking television, and is one of the biggest TV shows movie mogul Tyler Perry has ever produced. The sets, high fashion, and the strikingly good looking cast come together to create a truly sexy and provocative half-hour of television. Viewers will experience a fresh approach to the traditional sit-com format that will provide all the elements of well-crafted storytelling and the raw intrigue of reality TV. For Better Or Worse explores the controversial and joyous moments associated with marriage and dating in a 21st Century world. And like always, viewers will leave with life changing messages that have become a trademark of the Perry brand of entertainment. Don’t miss the next Tyler Perry hit… For Better Or Worse.

Love the show, however the laugh track is over the top! A quality show such as this one does not need to prompt its viewers to laugh.

Mr. Perry, I enjoy your entertainment. My favorite is For Better or Worse. The only problem is the way Jennifer comes across as a needy, heavy set, desperate woman. Her character is boring. I know not one woman that acts like that. Please give her more substance, or set her free.

      Now thats funny!

I agree, Jennifer's character has to be redeveloped. I am a heavy set, single black woman, that there is no way on God's green earth that I behave in such a manner! More than any of the other characters (although Todd runs a close second), Jennifer is portrayed in a such a stereotypical manner that it is almost embarrassing to watch.

Tyler Perry REALLY REALLY need to SET HER FREE. She is an embarrassment, she is not funny.

I'm a huge fan serving overseas and I don't have access to OWN at this time. How else can I see the shows? Or is it not am option for us overseas?

The back ground laughing with the fake audience really is annoying half of the stuff is not even funny. Angela and Leslie hair looks well but Jennifer's hair (wig) looks really bad.... The show is not so good anymore... I love Keisha she really makes the show more interesting sorry but the other actors are boring.....

Wat up Mr. Perry. I like the show but I think you should return to the dramatic form that occupied the first and second seasons. I like the idea of Jennifer and old boy from the Tv station. I think she might be the one to grow him up a little bit. I like the comedy factor but the show needs a more dramatic element to keep us on edge as well as laughing. And where on earth is keisha and Richard. Not to mention Marcus and Angelas son. I love your work and inspiration. I will always support your work. Have a great day sir!

Please can the "canned laughter" if its funny, it's funny, you don't need the "canned laughter" to make it funny or tell you when to laugh. I like the show, the story line is good but the writing is not. Please Mr. Perry Fix It!!

Hey Tyler. I like the idea that you finally had Todd and Jennifer supposedly hook up. This would be refreshing for the show. They are both single and even though it turns out that they didn't sleep together. It would be interesting to see where something with these two would go. Just an idea!

I agree. Give these two characters a chance of being intelligent, instead of them being the bad jokes of the show.

    Love "For Better Or Worse"!!!!!!!!!!

This show is moving too slowly. Please don't stretch the one storyline all season. My idea of a comedy is for it to move along quickly and onto different things. Also, can we get rid of the laugh tracks.

Normally I like Mr. Perry's work. BUT, this show seems to have a 'funny' comment every 5 seconds or so, followed by a very generic 'canned' laugh track that sounds exactly the same each time. Normally, I do not notice a laugh track during a comedy. It's distracting to me.

I WANT A DIVORCE!!!!! For Better or Worse should just be called FOR WORSE!!! What the heck is going on? It is so bad this season that I don't even look forward to seeing it and I totally forgot it was on the other night! When I did watch it on DVR, it couldn't even hold my attention. It is absolutely awful! As much I love Tyler Perry's work, this show has met it's demise. The April 23rd show had the absolute lowest ratings since the show ever started. (0.69) Tyler you are doing waaaaaay too much all by yourself and it is starting to show. Shonda Riimes has a TEAM of writers, directors, and producer and SCANDAL is on and popping EVERY week!!! (Mind you, I started watching it after I was left hanging at the peak of the short season of The Haves And Have Nots)...take a lesson from her and get more help. These shows look like you filmed the whole season in one day and just threw it out there for us. Your fans love you and they are willing to support you, but you have to bring it. We will not watch low quality work....especially when it started off as high quality work. I PRAY that you don't go down this same dreadful road with The Haves And The Have Nots!!!! I have said it before and I will say it again, THAT IS YOUR HIT!!!! Forget the rest of this mess....Love Thy Neighbor (which disgustingly now occupies the HAVES AND THE HAVE NOTS time slot when YOU SHOULD BE PLAYING THE ENTIRE SEASON ONE AND SEASON TWO TO ATTRACT NEW VIEWERS) and as I said earlier, at this point I am headed to Divorce Court because I didn't know For Better or Worse could get any worse!!! You also need to SKIP these hiatuses!!! I know that everyone else is doing it, but their shows have so much going on (example SCANDAL) that I was actually glad when it went on hiatus this season because it was giving me chest palpitations with all of the excitement, and my mind and body NEEDED the break!!! This is not the case with your programming!!! Please get it together and get some help and stop taping shows so fast and so far in advance and just throwing them out there for us. If I were you, I would get the Haves And Have Nots back on the air with a swiftness and it would be a cold day in h*** before I went on a hiatus again with that show.
