For Better Or Worse, Tyler Perry’s sit-com centers around two of Perry’s favorite characters from the big screen- Marcus and Angela. Marcus and Angela were first introduced to the world in Tyler Perry’s blockbuster hit feature films… “Why Did I Get Married”, and “Why Did I Get Married Too”.

For Better Or Worse is a not-so-subtle situation comedy that follows the zany and sometimes tumultuous relationship of the lovesick couple. Tasha Smith and Michael Jai White are back to reprise their roles in the half-hour show. Michael plays Marcus, an ex football player turned sports commentator who owns his own sports talk show. Tasha Smith also resumes her role as Angela, the edgy and outspoken wife of Marcus who is dedicated to her husband, children, and marriage. The show also follows the lives of those who Marcus and Angela call their friends. There is Joseph, Marcus’ best friend and business partner. Joseph is left devastated by his breakup with long-time girlfriend, Leslie. Tired of waiting for a proposal from Joseph, Leslie has moved on to bigger and better things while staying focused on her career and her undying friendship with Angela. Keisha, Marcus’ ex- continues to cause a world of trouble for the group of friends and colleagues. And Jennifer and Todd are still as crazy as ever.

For Better Or Worse is ground breaking television, and is one of the biggest TV shows movie mogul Tyler Perry has ever produced. The sets, high fashion, and the strikingly good looking cast come together to create a truly sexy and provocative half-hour of television. Viewers will experience a fresh approach to the traditional sit-com format that will provide all the elements of well-crafted storytelling and the raw intrigue of reality TV. For Better Or Worse explores the controversial and joyous moments associated with marriage and dating in a 21st Century world. And like always, viewers will leave with life changing messages that have become a trademark of the Perry brand of entertainment. Don’t miss the next Tyler Perry hit… For Better Or Worse.

I am a person who is all in for African American shows, however, sometimes I find it hard to enjoy this show. This is why, too many laugh tracks which stalls the actors (seems like they pause for the laughter) , some scenes are too long. I know it is a comedy, but I think the flow could be so much better. I love Tyler Perry and all of his projects, but this one could use a little tweaking. I don't want the show to end, just improve. I'm not a film critic, just a very observant viewer.

Tonia! This is what I have been saying for a while! The scenes drag out too long because of this. I don't remember the first two seasons being like that. And where's MJ???

I'm with Tonia. The show has taken a wrong turn. I agree that some scenes are awkward and too long. Also Jennifer became a 'dummy' this season. Her character used to balance out the cast, but now she seems like a pet project for the mean girls. Todd's character also needs to change. And while I don't want to put anyone out of a job, but does it seem like the Joseph character would be better played by someone else...maybe Coby Bell?...

I love the show but Jennifer and Todd is ruining the show for me. They really need to tune it down for real.

That is exactly my feeling a** well, especially Todd. This character is a nuisance and takes away from the others real acting. Jennifer is always frowning and omplaining about something.

Sorry I did not mean Jennifer (Jennifer & Keisha roles are probably what keeps this show going) I meant Leslie, although i can definitely stand her over the Todd character. I get so tired of hearing Joseph saying "shut up" to him. My husband just expressed the same thing to me tonight. This could really be a good show like it was at the beginning if you get rid of all the stupid Todd lines and laugh tracks.

my husband and I enjoy the show, but we miss House of Payne, we were left hanging, we so enjoyed the characters, but one question........WHEN IS KIESHA GOING TO GET HER COMEUPANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is a horrid being!

    • Lynnah California #1896651

Now Ms Ella and Curtis Payne were never boring. although Janine needed some acting classes and the little girl Jasmine was waaay to grown for her age.

I was sad that Leslie got an annulment. I wish that she could have stayed married... I don't really like her with Joesph... I don't know... And Keisha... uhhh... she gets on my nerves... I know she has to because that's how she is but.

I am a huge fan of Mr Perry, love him! I loved this show, I mean loved this show! I could hardly wait for this season, and when I heard you were going to OWN, so excited. I don't know what happened, if you have new writers, but to me this season is hard to watch, it's terrible. The scenes are drawn out, sometimes the dialogue between the actors becomes monotonous, and tiring. The laugh track is too much, it's trying to hard to seem funny. The story line is great, that's why I keep watching. I keep hoping it will get better, and I just want to know what's going to happen.

I am very disappointed in this show since it has hit the OWN network. The story lines are horrible. The episodes make no sense in this real life world. The cast stands around all day and talk about nothing. I keep thinking each week it will get better but it does not. WOW! So sad.

It is 2013... almost 2014... WHEN is TPS going to catch up... the tv shows (not movies) Should be available to watch online. If youre trying to keep Nielson ratings, please know they count those also... You are diminishing the ability to grow your audience by not allowing them the option to access viewing your programs at will. I spend more time away from home so dvr is no longer an option... From what Ive gathered in the reviews Leslie and Joseph are still broken up and apparently theres been an annulment.... Anybody wanna clue me in to what else has gone on in juicy detail... LOL!!! In Service, Nikki

Thank you Ms. Nikki! Online would be great, like you I am away from home more than I'm there. Several of the hotels that I stay in have On Demand but it is not an option either, although the OWN channel is on demand. I've also been told that I haven't missed much, but I'd like to see that for myself.
