Description:

For Better Or Worse, Tyler Perry’s sit-com centers around two of Perry’s favorite characters from the big screen- Marcus and Angela. Marcus and Angela were first introduced to the world in Tyler Perry’s blockbuster hit feature films… “Why Did I Get Married”, and “Why Did I Get Married Too”.

For Better Or Worse is a not-so-subtle situation comedy that follows the zany and sometimes tumultuous relationship of the lovesick couple. Tasha Smith and Michael Jai White are back to reprise their roles in the half-hour show. Michael plays Marcus, an ex football player turned sports commentator who owns his own sports talk show. Tasha Smith also resumes her role as Angela, the edgy and outspoken wife of Marcus who is dedicated to her husband, children, and marriage. The show also follows the lives of those who Marcus and Angela call their friends. There is Joseph, Marcus’ best friend and business partner. Joseph is left devastated by his breakup with long-time girlfriend, Leslie. Tired of waiting for a proposal from Joseph, Leslie has moved on to bigger and better things while staying focused on her career and her undying friendship with Angela. Keisha, Marcus’ ex- continues to cause a world of trouble for the group of friends and colleagues. And Jennifer and Todd are still as crazy as ever.

For Better Or Worse is ground breaking television, and is one of the biggest TV shows movie mogul Tyler Perry has ever produced. The sets, high fashion, and the strikingly good looking cast come together to create a truly sexy and provocative half-hour of television. Viewers will experience a fresh approach to the traditional sit-com format that will provide all the elements of well-crafted storytelling and the raw intrigue of reality TV. For Better Or Worse explores the controversial and joyous moments associated with marriage and dating in a 21st Century world. And like always, viewers will leave with life changing messages that have become a trademark of the Perry brand of entertainment. Don’t miss the next Tyler Perry hit… For Better Or Worse.

I LOVE TASHA!!!! SHE STAYS FLY NO MATTER WHAT!!! With that being said, BRING CHRIS BACK!!! The situation between him and Leslie came and went too fast, clean and easy. There's no real drama! We NEED MORE DRAMA. Also, I understand cliffhangers but sometimes simple plots take too long to peak and then end. AND WHAT HAPPENED TO JENNIFER AND HER DRAMA??? She slept with that guy with HIV but it was never resolved as to what her results were. So for the future, bring Chris back and make Leslie come to her senses, get Joseph a girl, but keep a small flame lit between he and Leslie; clear things up with Jennifer (like bring a temporary guy into her life where she has to talk about what happened with the last guy with HIV) that's simple; Tasha and Marcus need some drama just a little, and DO NOT let Kiesha win! No matter what, it's easier to make her loose because that can go many ways!! These are just my food for thoughts. I know it's your show Mr Perry, I'm just and outsider looking in. DSB

I agree that Jennifer needs more things going in her life. I think Joseph is a true a-hole, but he is realistic and so is Keisha! :-)

Hello, Mr. Perry. I enjoy most of your movies and television shows. Everything is not for everyone, but that's okay. A little something for most. Ok, I like FBOW, but I don't like the Keisha character. As someone else said, please don't let her win. Also, I'd like to see Leslie and Chris back together. Can we get some true inter-ethnic love on TV. Yes, I said inter-ethnic not interracial because there is truly only one race-human! I commend you, sir, because you keep some folk working. Much love to you. God bless. Dee T.

I agree with Dee. Keisha's character is probably one that we are supposed to love to hate. But I don't love to hate the character, I just don't like so much of her in the show. And I also agree about the follow up on Jennifer as someone posted.

It's a great day today Tyler, but I must agree with some of your fans post. Leslie did not committ to her marriage. Usually, rich men are smart, they will not allow themselves to get caught up with a tramp. She gave Joseph the milk, he refuse to buy the cow, so let them both stay in the barn together. This makes our black women look cheap, and desperate. Now, may our God continue to Bless you until you are better paid, in Jesus mighty name.

Your successes are amazing as well as your work ethic. I've read many positive comments about you, your life and your work. I believe it is your Christian background, your desire to succeed and the love you received as a child that catapulted you to be a success. I have a story that I have been considering and would like to 'run' it by you if you don't mind. I have tried to write it many times before but it is very 'close' to me and I just cannot get through it with any success. It is always with me and I believe that once I get it out, I can go on with my life in a more peaceful way. I just need an outlet, some advice, and/or some discouragement, that is, of a person who has experience and knowledge about successful stories or true life. Thanks for even considering to contact me.

I think their characters can be written much differently without taking away from who they are; Keisha can still be the gold digger that she is just write better stories. Todd, what intern isn't silly? Tone him down a little he has pretty good timing so he does not have to speak to get a point in, sometimes his expressions and gestures are enough!

I really like the show but I feel Leslie should stay with Chris she didn't even try to work on the marriage. Joseph had his chance and he wasn't willing to commit or marry her I feel you should keep Chris as a character on the show and him and Leslie go to counseling and get back together. Keep up the good work Tyler Perry I love all your work!

I agree, Leslie treated her marriage like a drive through pickup, she didn't order. There's nothing likeable about Joseph, he had his chance and proved he was only interested in a sexual relationship, nothing long-term like marriage.

Tyler, I'm conflicted as to whether or not I will continue to watch FBOW. I'm so disppointed in Leslie and her decision to end her marriage. She appears more concerned with her status of being married than working on it. In the beginning, she talked about loving Chris but never took his advice on talking things out with Joseph for closure. Leslie never gave Chris a fair chance to show his feelings for her as she silently reminisced over her past relationship with Joseph. She appears unexperienced in relationships not understanding it a two way street. Leslie wasn't honest during the numberous times Chris asked her to lets slow things down. Chris was a true gentlemen and he was willing to wait for Leslie to love him with her whole heart as she did with Joseph. Will she have an emotional breakdown or will Leslie sabatoge each new relationship comparing them to Joseph (someone who could only commit to her when he sees she's "unavailable") before seeking help? Keisha is a "Gold Digger" and Richard will learn an expensive lesson that I hope it does not come to the expense of his partners at C-Sport. If women like Keisha "win" then, it makes what she does okay. Richard although naive truly didn't know what he was getting himself into by marrying her. Keisha needs to be made to find a job and work like everyone else. I will give FBOW a couple more episodes before making my decision. --Sorry Tyler PS: Please stop the "dumb" jokes with Jennifer. They are not funny as too many jokes are distracting to a serious story line.

Tyler I love your work, but this season of For Better for Worse is not good. Too many pauses the acting is terrible. The laughing after every line is bad. The jokes are too long. getting to the point takes to long. It seem like they are reading and not acting, The writers and directors are not good. Where is Ms V? there is no flow please fix this.
