Description:

For Better Or Worse, Tyler Perry’s sit-com centers around two of Perry’s favorite characters from the big screen- Marcus and Angela. Marcus and Angela were first introduced to the world in Tyler Perry’s blockbuster hit feature films… “Why Did I Get Married”, and “Why Did I Get Married Too”.

For Better Or Worse is a not-so-subtle situation comedy that follows the zany and sometimes tumultuous relationship of the lovesick couple. Tasha Smith and Michael Jai White are back to reprise their roles in the half-hour show. Michael plays Marcus, an ex football player turned sports commentator who owns his own sports talk show. Tasha Smith also resumes her role as Angela, the edgy and outspoken wife of Marcus who is dedicated to her husband, children, and marriage. The show also follows the lives of those who Marcus and Angela call their friends. There is Joseph, Marcus’ best friend and business partner. Joseph is left devastated by his breakup with long-time girlfriend, Leslie. Tired of waiting for a proposal from Joseph, Leslie has moved on to bigger and better things while staying focused on her career and her undying friendship with Angela. Keisha, Marcus’ ex- continues to cause a world of trouble for the group of friends and colleagues. And Jennifer and Todd are still as crazy as ever.

For Better Or Worse is ground breaking television, and is one of the biggest TV shows movie mogul Tyler Perry has ever produced. The sets, high fashion, and the strikingly good looking cast come together to create a truly sexy and provocative half-hour of television. Viewers will experience a fresh approach to the traditional sit-com format that will provide all the elements of well-crafted storytelling and the raw intrigue of reality TV. For Better Or Worse explores the controversial and joyous moments associated with marriage and dating in a 21st Century world. And like always, viewers will leave with life changing messages that have become a trademark of the Perry brand of entertainment. Don’t miss the next Tyler Perry hit… For Better Or Worse.

I watched your episodes on violence against women and totally agree there is no reason in the world a person should lay their hands on someone else. I have raised two daughters who are making their way in the world and I don't want that to happen to them. My problem with your episode where Keisha forcefully poked Richard in the head and you left that totally unaddressed. It gives the impression of a double standard. I am sorry that some feel a woman can slap a man when provoked or angry but isn't that sending the wrong message. Men do not like being poked, slapped, or punched in face no more than a woman. The police should have been called when Keisha first touched Richard. Just know that I would call the police because its a battery, and her verbal abuse is an assault. You really should consult some legal authority before perpetuating the same old double standard

Mr. Perry, I agree with most of the comment in reference to Richard and Keisha. This is totally onesided. We see the affects of what she's done to him and how she got those things. What about the ultimate justice of what she has done to him. This promote the underhanded mess that women has done to men without being checked and prosecuted. What about the consequences of her actions. I have been a fan of this show since it's inception, but this has turned me off!!!

Although I have watched the show since the beginning, it is loosing me. Here are some of my issues. Lets start with Keisha. How can the show address domestic violence with her character. No man should ever put his hands on a woman, but no man is going to continue to be humiliated the way the character of Richard is being humiliated. I agree with all of the previous post. As for Kiki Haynes, it appears her talent is over and above the scripts that is being handed to her. I think she has some comedic chops and can deliver but her storyline is a turnoff. And the writers are not even getting close to handing Tasha Smith a script which fits her tremendous talent. I thought that her "shanigans???" would be the focus of the show but yall have gotten totally away from that. There is some good chemistry between Tasha and Kiki and the writing team should build around that. I think the cast has what it takes but they are not being handed scripts that brings out great performances out of them. After the Paynes and the Browns I would have thought the writing team would be capable of delivering better work. You are wasting a good cast.

I think that the characters are coming off too playful and immature in some scenes. I love the show but if you are to bring out certain message I just feel that they should be more serious in there role. Richard doesn't seem serious. Keisha need Jesus for real. Angela is appearing to be weak at times and the rest of them especially Todd play too much. I thought the show was centered around marriages and relationships that are for grown mature people that demonstrates the ups and downs the go through and the joys of marriage and relationships. I'm just saying!!

Tyler do you actually hate black males? For Better or Worse highlights 3 emasculated black men and none of them have a brain, lawyer or manliness. My wife and I use to like this show but it continues to degrade black men. What is wrong with you?

Tammy, Very Good Question? He seem to cater to the women always being abused and not the men. He as a so-called Christian Man would uplift the Men, especially the Black Men. Black Men are already stereotyped with many downfalls and this adds to it. All persons should be uplifted, no matter the race. But this sitcom has just gone way left. Keisha's role is unrealistic. Todd & Jennifer are too immature. Too many storylines being not completed. I really use to look forward to this show in the first seasons, now its just by circumstance to watch. For 2 powerful people He & Oprah they just seem to produce whatever!!! Sex, Filth. They could really show things to uplift all people, especially the Black Race. My prayer is that God would Continue to Have Mercy upon the Black Race as well as All PEOPLE!!!

Why is the season for, For Better or Worse so short? Will there be more of a storyline with Marcus daughter? Angela's pregnancy?

I would love to see Richard take her to court and sue her for a hostile work environment and harassment.

I agree this season is unbelievably short ... a lot of people are beginning to disfavor the show because of Richards injustice ... Tyler needs to bring Richard & Keisha back together, or quickly change the plot so that Richard can regain his assets

Dear Tyler, I had just begun enjoying this show with the story line of Pam. I was looking forward to seeing her character developed. But you've lost me with Angela's pregnancy. You have too many story lines going in this show. Complete the Richard and Keisha story line. Allow Keisha to work out her issues because she has some serious issues and develop the story lines you've already started! Develop more of the characters in this already large, too large, cast! Stop adding new story lines. It's making the show too cumbersome!

I agree with everyone here including the woman who said she doesn't condone a man putting his hands on a woman but cheered when Richard finally stood up for himself. I agree that a man shouldn't hit a woman but I also agree no one should hit anyone. My mom used to tell my sisters if you think you're has enough to hit a man be prepared for the consequences. Sometimes a man can snap without thinking. My husband watches the bow with me and said Mr. Perry is unrealistic on this show. Did anyone remember Keisha had something to do with Richard not receiving his phone call about the time change for court? That's tampering and she should pay for that; they all know she did it yet no one said anything. Same thing with Todd not saying Keisha was pushing Richard's head before he slapped the mess out of her. I'll tell you something if a woman did that to my husband he may have a reaction as well not me, I don't do that sort of thing. But the domestic violence awareness is taken too far and in the wrong context. Women can also be guilty of domestic violence so let's not forget it. Plus why would Richard be so weak? It's just unrealistic. Mr. Perry please write the way we know you can and not this madness you keep putting out. The whole Richard and Keisha story sucks and isn't true to life. I mean come on Mr. Perry, you have a lot of money as well, would you end up that way? If they are business men, then make them true to life. I mean what would you and Ms.Winfrey have done to protect yourselves?
