My name is Karen Hickson. I am 20 years old from Mount Vernon, New York. I'm an aspiring filmmaker. I just would love the chance to join your company 34th Street Films. I heard it was a company you started for aspiring filmmakers. I have written 2 books. One is a poetry book entitled Dear World, Letters From A Broken Spirit. The other is entitled Words of Inspiration, Life Lessons, and Poetry. I also wrote a play called "Broken Family Ties" I am all about the positive aspect of life. Being that the city I'm from was recently ranked as one of the most dangerous cities in America. I want to show people that they can make light of a dark situation. No matter what people say, I am going for my goals. Thank you in advance for the opportunity.

WOW! I remember feeling like this more times out of my life than not. You can do more things right than you could ever imagine. Sometimes we have to move self out of the way and let God have full control. I pray that you find the peace you need and the wisdom to know that you are phenomenal in every aspect of your life. No, we don't know each other but I just wanted to encourage you not to give up on yourself. Each day you arrise, validate yourself and know that "You are worth the fight"!!!! Live in forgiveness and peace.
Michelle, I had to respond to your message, hate is such a strong word and I challenge you to look deep inside of yourself and ask yourself what is the one thing GOD would love about you..... Because he loves us in spite of all of our faults, so there would be many things he would love about you. The fact that you can say "you can't do nothing right" is an accomplishment because many people walk around thinking they do everything right, even though they don't and they are clueless. I work closely with young girls in the human trafficking world and I am sure if you spent a moment in their lives they would find something about you to be envious of....... Please reach out to a local group, volunteer, get involved and let GOD show you just how great you really are. May God's peace and blessings surround you.
...Isn't it funny how we seem blinded to the warning signs that could have circumvented a bad choice? Those who have turned a deaf ear to the warning MISS the glaring issue that eventually leads to the demise of the deeper MORE FULFILLING RELATIONSHIP we desperately WANT & NEED! The glaring issue WILL VARY with the person & the relationship, BUT IS OFTEN an issue of possessiveness, jealousy, conflict management, OR communication that becomes insurmountable. LESSONS OF THE HEART(THE ART OF LISTENING) The T.D. Jakes Relationship BIBLE
The Art of LISTENING: While the art of listening is A Key in any relationship, my application regards couples where it is especially CRUCIAL. We tell couples they need to talk, BUT we forget to INSTRUCT THEM ON HOW TO listen. And not just to listen to each other, but how to listen to SELF. Somewhere in the fine print of meeting, dating, & interacting with some1, it warned u ever so slightly that they were going to be a certain way. The red flag were always there, even if they started out in a lovely shade of pink. You saw how quickly he/she got angry. You knew he/she was always late when u picked him/her up for a date. He went into a panic checking every line item on the bill from the restaurant. She flirted with the waiter & any1 else who looked her way. YOU NOTICED BUT DIDN'T LISTEN TO THE VOICE INSIDE. Perhaps it was pushed aside in the soft embrace of that special some1. But as Maya Angelou says, when some1 tells u who they are, BELIEVE THEM. Before u order something, the fine print is what u must read to KNOW IF U CAN AFFORD THE PAYMENTS. The fine print was readable when u saw HOW he interacted with his family, or didn't. It was in the way his eyes lingered on every woman walking past. It was in every phone call she took outside RATHER THAN IN YOUR PRESENCE. You saw it, but u weren't LISTENING.
:-) Good Morning T! :-)
Hello Tyler, I'm very inspired by your life's testimony. I am an amateur writer and film maker, who grew up in a family of twelve brothers and one sister. My parents were followers of Christ and a bulwark in the community. Out of eleven brothers, I was fortunate to attend college and pursue my career in technology. I'm currently writing a book about my walk with Christ and the "Life lessons" I and my wife have endured. The purpose for this book and film is to share with others how I and my wife overcame various life challenges through faith and hope. I believe that, in this life, one must make a contribution and provide a helping hand to the sick as well as the the well. I am not promoting religion, but the light of my walk as it relates to scripture. I don't believe in attempting to make others in my image, but to promote trust and hope in the gift that each and everyone of us has been given. "The One Talent". I believe that talent is the key to each and everyone of our life's lessons. I can't be anyone other than me, therefore I stopped comparing myself with others in their walk. In doing so, if others see value in my walk, then they will ask me concerning what they see. It would be an honor to have you to review a short film and provide your comments. Hope to hear from you soon.
Dear Mr. Perry, I have a great script for a TV sitcom, and I have run out of places to turn for help. I know if you would just give me a chance you will love it! It seems like the entertainment industry is not willing to give any new people any chances at success. I tried calling your studios and was quickly told that I could not send you anything that was unsolicited. I know you don't need the money but this script is unlike anything on TV right now. If you would just take a look at it that would mean the world to me. Thanks George Wiley
