Description:

The film tells the story of Judith, an Ivy League-educated relationship expert who makes her living dispensing marital advice, but is so bored with her own marriage that she breaks her professional code and cheats with a smooth talking client only to realize she has made a huge mistake.

A bold exploration of the intrigue and perils of infidelity, Tyler Perry's Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor is a compelling love story that dives straight into the heart of obsessive passion. "It's about a woman who starts to get restless in her relationship and her choice to be with another man has a huge effect on the rest of her life," explains screenwriter/producer/director Tyler Perry. "She goes on a journey - in her career and in her marriage - and she ends up in a very different place than she expected." In a departure from his previous dramas, this explosive film finds Perry exploring the nature of desire - and just how powerful and dangerous a taste of the forbidden can be. "This is definitely one of the most provocative movies - sexually and otherwise - that I've made," says the director. "There are a lot people who struggle in their relationships. They make bad choices about their marriages. They get divorced. And so many of them don't step out of their situation and really think about the consequences of what they're doing. This movie asks, 'Are you sure you want to do this?' It sends up a flag."

I just want to say that I LOVED the movie. I hate that you are getting so much bad press for the movie. I just thank they need to sit back and relax, they just don't get the real messages behind the movie. I just wanted to say please keep doing what you do. They say you never truely made until you have haters. Mr.Perry: "Hi haters"

Ok.. I'm sorry that I did NOT enjoy the movie... As much as I understand the PLOT up close and personal; it fell short in the way of convincing me of the characters choices... It left me empty. She went from Country girl to Sity Slicker w/o any preparation.. Never had a drink and now she's snorting Cocaine...I'm sorry.. I like Jurnee and Lance is WOW... What I do like is choices... Not every movie made by "other directors" is a BASH on their race or their ability to not do so well; I say that in this case... I didn't like the move; I'm no less Black , a Woman or a TP Supporter... Continued much success and know that you are appreciated and supported...Just not feeling it THIS TIME (yes I have experienced Temptations and I can say it can happen as a Whirlwind and Before you know it OOPS... This movie just didn't capture it FOR ME

Hello Tyler. What a movie. It really touched my heart and those that viewed it with me. I know the situations are real because of the nature of my job. Although the ending was sad I was glad to see that they did not let the circumstances stop them from living their dream. Keep up the good work. God Bless.

Wow!!! Temptation is a thought-provoking and realistic movie made for the issues married couples face in the 21st century. I really enjoyed the movie and I hope you make a sequel/follow-up to this movie.

As a young black woman with a great job who makes good life choices, I want to see you create a single character that represents something black women should be striving for. You realize that every single of your black female characters who has upward mobility, ambition, and a great job (Janet Jackson’s character in For Colored Girls, Jurnee Smolett in Temptation, Dianne the lawyer in Why Did I Get Married) makes some kind of mistake that leaves them with AIDS or alone, or both at the end of the story? In contrast, your male characters are given agency to make mistakes and then recover. In Why Did I Get Married, Mike is obviously cheating & asks for a divorce because he’s not attracted to his wife, and NOTHING BAD HAPPENS TO HIM. When Jurnee does the same thing Mike did in Temptation, SHE GOT AIDS and WAS ALONE. In Why Did I Get Married, Dianne, the high-powered attorney, forgets her husband’s birthday and her husband leaves her. In Temptation, when Jurnee’s husband does the same thing, NOTHING BAD HAPPENS TO HIM. This is something I’ve noticed for years now and I will continue to tell my friends not to see your movies until the change is made.

Small point and note Mike got smacked with a wine bottle, his chick was wayyy to high maintenance in the end, and in part 2 he had cancer. In temptations Lance gross's character completely lost his wife! what more can you ask for. Some men are forgetful but his character was indeed a good man. I just completely disagree with you whole view on his movies. And as a woman I think his movies touch right where they need to. Sooo what you don't want to support him at the end of the day you not going to see anymore of his movies is not putting a dent in his pockets or confidence as a writer, director, or actor. He can't please everybody!

Mr. Perry, I think I've seen all your major movies and I admit I really enjoy most of them. I just saw Temptation two days ago and I'm still going over the movie in my head. I think it's one of your best movies. The ending is so profoundly sad and true. Sometimes love no matter how big and forgiving is not enough to save a relationship. You truly are gifted and we are so blessed to get to view your works. Thank you for making me, laugh, cry and move me to think about my life and my relationships and remind that all things GOOD come from above.

Temptation was an amazing movie ! A lot of people are having negative things to say because of what happens in the end with Judith, however, I think it's a great message and everyone can learn something from this movie . It really tells a story of being tempted to do something you know is not right and getting lost in that temptation . Judith had become so lost into Harley that she couldn't even fathom what was coming for her . This movie is a must see ! I've seen all of Tyler Perry's movies & plays and I'm NEVER disappointed .
