Description:

The film tells the story of Judith, an Ivy League-educated relationship expert who makes her living dispensing marital advice, but is so bored with her own marriage that she breaks her professional code and cheats with a smooth talking client only to realize she has made a huge mistake.

A bold exploration of the intrigue and perils of infidelity, Tyler Perry's Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor is a compelling love story that dives straight into the heart of obsessive passion. "It's about a woman who starts to get restless in her relationship and her choice to be with another man has a huge effect on the rest of her life," explains screenwriter/producer/director Tyler Perry. "She goes on a journey - in her career and in her marriage - and she ends up in a very different place than she expected." In a departure from his previous dramas, this explosive film finds Perry exploring the nature of desire - and just how powerful and dangerous a taste of the forbidden can be. "This is definitely one of the most provocative movies - sexually and otherwise - that I've made," says the director. "There are a lot people who struggle in their relationships. They make bad choices about their marriages. They get divorced. And so many of them don't step out of their situation and really think about the consequences of what they're doing. This movie asks, 'Are you sure you want to do this?' It sends up a flag."

hello mr perry i just want to say that saw your latest project temptation this weekend along with my daughter and i loved it this movie is by far the best movie that you have done since making movies i just wish people would pay close attention to the context of the movie instead of talking while the movie is going on then they would not have to ask so many different question or asumptions this way they could get a full understanding of whats going. i must say casting kim kardashian in the movie was a wise choice i don't think anyone would have been able to pull off her charcter like she did with her knowledge of fashion that's how she really started out when her dad was alive he helped her out a great deal with her fashion deatail while she was in college and she did this out our her apartment she would dress all of her friends. i can't wait for the next movie to come out or for you to play alex cross again in another james patterson movie. may GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS AND KEEP YOU .

Hi T.Perry and Team, I have read some of the comments from people, some are of encouragemnts, yet some are of discouragements. Never mind, every good venture shall always be tested, attacked, critsised, moked at, l0ughed at, opposed, etc-etc. In this world of all types of competetion, we should all be aware of them at every moment. All these great rich men and women, Presidents, Bihops, Prophets, Pastors, Government Ministers, Church elders, deacons, anybody in the well organized venture, have been attacked in the same manner, we will always be tested by outsiders.James 1:2-4, James 5:11. This is God's will, let them talk all what they can say from within them, You have a very BIG GOD who is always by your side. For Greater is He Who inside us, than the one in the world. It is Biblical to be tested by our opponets, so that our faith in what so ever we do, with God on our side, it will stand forever. Some critism are good, some are bad some critics are educative, some are not. In every Tyler Perry's movie i have watched, i see white people mingling among us freely, watching together your movies. Thanks for such comments, because they remind us of the enemy at hand...But our Battle belongs to our Great God, whose weapons are not canal, but Mighty, and Spiritual to the PULLING DOWN evry strong hold.

Dear Mr. Perry, I just saw Temptation. Since you are one of the few men of color in the position to influence movies I often have high expectations for your work. I appreciate that you provide roles and depictions of people of color that are positive and powerful. I am a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist. I have worked in the field of social service for 10 years and have a Master's degree from NYU in social work. Presently, I run my own practice in New York. I notice that many of your movies deal with issues that impact the black community. What I have issue with is the lack of research that is done in presenting some of the real social issues clients deal with. Some of the portrayals can be altered due to creative license but other issues need to be portrayed accurately. For two years I supervised a supportive housing unit with approximately 50 families. In order to live in the building one person in the family was required to be HIV positive. HIV positive people marry, have children, and manage the disease in a dignified a powerful way. POZ magazine would have been a good resource to use in making Temptation. Additionally talking with people living with HIV would have given a more accurate portrayal of the negatives and positives they face. One of the things I learned and did not know prior to working with this population is that partners, husbands, wives etc. stay with the partner even when it is found they became positive during the course of the relationship. Being HIV positive does not banish you to a desolate, lonely life. My second concern is the depiction of social service providers in your movies. Again you have the power to influence many and with that power comes a responsibility to provide accurate depictions of the people doing the work. In the movie For Colored Girls, the social worker played by Kerri Washington would have been fired if she left those children in that home. Simple research or consultation with a licensed social worker would have kept such a gross inaccuracy from being in the movie. I implore you, Mr. Perry hire a social work consultant and a research team to bring accuracy and authenticity to the films you make. The depth of your work would improve and you possibly would engage a wider viewership to your work. Respectfully Yours, Pat Lissade, LCSW

I agree w/ what you are saying for the most part but there ARE social wkrs who DO make the SAME mistake as the SW in For Colored Girl. I work in child protective services and have been for 15 years. So, that was "real"! EVERY movie does not have to be PERFECT.

Saw the Movie a couple of times with my daughter and dear friends. All I want to say is AWESOME! Mr. Perry you sent the message out there! We all left with dialog and the question What If! This movie is about choices, forbidden territories that one cannot or should not take. Just because it walks and talks dark and handsome or like they say" fine as wine".BEWARE! It can have some devastating consequences. The grass is not always greener on the other side it can be full of insects that can b*** and cause lots of harmful side effects. I don't want to give the movie away... Go see it! A MUST SEE! I will tell everyone about this movie... I will be seeing it again..

Ok Im 15 years old I saw it OPENING NIGHT & I LOVED IT! FIRST. . . It had A LOT of meaning even though I never have been in a situation like that it made me feel sorry for Judith & Brice and believe it or not even Harley. It made me think about what if I was in a situation like that am I really going to put my relationship in danger over TEMPATION. . . . I would TOTALLY see it a couple again . . I didnt think the ending would have to come to that. But it also kinda left wondering. . . Like what happend to Harley? Did he die? Go to jail? It just left me lost. NEXT. . . Kim K. awsome! She a really good job & Ava fit her PERFECTLY, she had me cracking up through out the WHOLE movie. Vanessa W. LOVED the accent. And Jurnee ahh. . . did a FABULOUS job! Didnt know she had it in her. . . But then again she is a great actress! AMAZING WORK TYLER!ツ

THIS MOVIE WAS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!! I'm so enamored with everything about this movie: the characters, plot, the message, how you drew us (the audience) in and forced us to feel the sensuality with the close-ups of the lip and mouth movements, how the first adulterous sexual encounter was experienced in the air (as when we're committing restricted acts, we tend to get a rush or a "high," how the scene where when Bryce goes to look for Judith, he finds her in Harley's house but it appears as H*** with the high, dancing flames in the the fireplace, the people reaching out grabbing at you, right down to the not-so-happy ending! This movie had my attention from beginning to end! The message is one that I've spoken on before! If you take a little time to nurture and care for your own grass, you won't have time to covet the next person's grass! Even though it appears to be greener, it's slowly dying from the dried out brown roots! Just like Harley in the movie! This is so realistic and mimics life! We don't always get a happy ending! Also, beware of your choices because they can leave you with life-altering consequences that you can't change! FABULOUS JOB!!! Love it and You!!!
