Tyler Perry.com

Sparks fly when Wade Walker (Craig Robinson) crashes the preppy Peeples annual reunion in the Hamptons to ask for their precious daughter Grace's (Kerry Washington) hand in marriage. Wade might be a fish-out-of-water among this seemingly perfect East Coast clan, but he's not about to let himself flounder. Instead, in a wild weekend of fun, dysfunction and hilarious surprises, Wade is about to discover there's more room for all kinds of Peeples in this family, no matter their differences. Writer and first-time director Tina Gordon Chism (writer of DRUMLINE) joins forces with Tyler Perry to present a laugh-out-loud look at the family ties that freak us out... but bind us together with love.

Dear Mrs. Chism & Mr. Perry, I really enjoyed the set design in "Peeples". The family tree on the wall of the family room was a nice touch. I wish I could have seen a more detailed picture of it. Thank you for depicting successful African American people who are not rap stars or dancers. As you know, we can do a lot more than sing and dance. It was also a delight to see S. Epatha Merkerson in a comedy role. She is such a phenomenal actress. I hope to see her in future family comedies distributed by TPS. Best regards, Nealie Brooks, 'Writer in word and deed'

Not sure how I missed this at the movies but watched it today on NETFLIX and loved it. I wanted to laugh and the movie did not disappoint. It shows us that dysfunction is in every family even those that appear perfect on the outside. I don't know a lot about TinaGordon Chism but the teaming with Tyler Perry provided the right exposure. Keep up the good work and thanks for a good laugh.

I am really saddened by the fact that these movies cannot be shipped to South Africa. I would LOVE to have my own collection of the dvds and stage plays. :(

I have always supported Tyler Perry productions because of the way that it would always bring you back to giving God the glory and praise, but I didn't see that with this film. It seem like all other messages good going lukewarm and then eventually bad. That is the Hollywood theme! I don't watch the average movies but I could always count on a Tyler Perry movie and now I am sadden. I am tired of the compromise, we need to truly put our trust in God and not water down the fact that Christ is the answer for all people and that God is love. God doesn't have love, but he is love and we have to bring that message to main stream world so that the world would want to call on our Lord Jesus and get saved after sowing the seed of the word through the form of trusted media.
