Where Is Your Dress, Tyler?

"You’re not wearing a dress in this movie. Do you think your audience will come and see it? Where is your dress, Tyler?"

I was in a press conference and a reporter asked me this question. You know I had to take a deep breath... LOL. It is so funny how people want you to be in a box. They always want you to do and be one thing. God forbid you try and show them that you can do more than comedy.

I said this to him, "Just because my audience likes one thing, it doesn’t mean that they won't accept me in another. Dress or no dress. I mean, we don’t just like comedies, we like thrillers, dramas, action movies and science fiction as well. Am I right? I went on to explain to this reporter that you all have always stood with me. You not only stand with me but you celebrate me and want to see me do my very best. That’s all you ever ask of me and all I ask of myself. While I am sure that a lot of you will love and support this movie, I also know that thrillers and action is not for everybody. But remember, this movie is still PG-13 and given a chance, I think you will enjoy it so much.

Can you tell how excited I am about Alex Cross? I told James Patterson very early on that if I thought that I couldn’t do it, I would have turned the role down when it was offered to me. I didn’t want to let him down, the Alex Cross fans down, or let you down. Now, with all that said, I JUST WANT YOU TO GO TO THE MOVIES AND SEE IT FOR YOURSELF!!! Alex Cross is a thrill ride from beginning to end. With movies, a lot of times the trailer is better than the movie. Not in this case. Alex Cross delivers on so many levels. You won't be disappointed. I can't wait for you to see it! You be the judge! YOU BE THE JUDGE!!

ALEX CROSS is in theaters October 19th. Are you planning on going?

Hello Tyler,I thank God that you're a man full of Wisdom and didn't let that one Quote s*** by you. That dress you wear is just a character and not who you are. You are a real man in every sense of the word. You are a man of God, A Creator, A Writer, A Producer, A Actor, A Poet, A Business Man and Whatever else you are equipted to be. I look forward to seeing you in a Dramatic Role just like the movie "Good Deeds" which me and my daughter both complimented on how we loved your great Dramatic Presence. Don't let nobody label you, you are truely a Unique human being. Keep being you. I look forward to seeing you in this new movie.

When you are in your dress as Madea, we look forward to comedy. Now you have taken off your dress and I am looking for Tyler Perry, as Alex Cross. You are a character actor and I know you will be great. As a matter of fact, you have played in your movies as Madea, her brother and as yourself, I say this to say you have taken off your dress many times and have brought laughter and tears to my eyes. So, I am extremely excited to know that you are going to be in your first thriller. I watch all of your T.V shows, I think they are so funny and I am looking forward to your next project. Much Love, and God Bless

Anything your name is on Tyler I go to, so yeah i'll be going to see it next week. I'm disapointed about the canceled play though, but it ok. I hope you keep putting plays on tour, because they are very good and i have a few people that i want to take to see a play of yours. With or without Madea. I was thinking the other day, its been awhile since there has been a Mr. Brown play. Where has he been. I know hes been doing Meet the Browns tv show, but i heard that show was done now. Any way since there wont be a Madea play for awile just send Mr. Brown, Aunt Bam, Floide or that new character Hattie out on tour with a play, becasue those people can make a person laugh as hard as Madea can. HaHa. Keep on doing what your doing Tyler. I'll be a fan of yours nomader what kind of movie your in. YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I live in Africa and I'm not likely to see it soon. But whether I do so now or later,I have no doubts that you put in all you've got into playing Alex Cross. That's enough to be the best. To me,you're an entire constellation ,not just a star. Don't forget that.

Hi! Tyler, it's good to try something different sometimes. I am going to support anything that you put out there. I enjoy seeing your comedy movies. This seems like this is a serious movie, with action. Yes, I will be there to see it when it comes out. I can't wait. Take care!

Quack like a duck and let it roll off your shoulder. They are just trying to ruffle your feathers. You know people are always accusing you of writing stereotypical characters and shows, but now I hope they can see who's doing the stereotyping. We know that there is a percentage of people in the world who think and would like to believe that we are simpletons, but nothing is further from the truth. So what I propose is, let's show those individuals how broad, in-dept, and undefined we are. Let send out a strong message that Madea, as much as we love her, does not define Tyler or us. On October 19th, and 20th, let's have one big DATE NIGHT, fill the theaters, and let Hollywood see where most of their backing comes from. For whatever crazy reason, Hollywood thinks that certain individuals only see ethnic based films. Well I know that I'm not that shallow, and I doubt if you are either. So I'll see you all at the movies. POP CORN on TYLER "lol" Lets keep the messages going all weekend, ans see what the BOX OFFICE #s look like on Monday.

Tyler I love how you can't be type cast. Already in your career you have shown so much diversity and depth in the characters you have portrayed. I plan to see the movie and have been anxiously waiting to see it since the clip was shown during your last movie"Witness protection". Kudos to you Tyler I am so very proud of your accomplishments.
