When God Asks A Question

I just wrote this to a very dear friend of mine that is going through a tough time. I thought I'd share it with you too.

When I read the bible, I love when God asks a question. He doesn't ask for Himself. He already knows the answer. He asks us because he wants us to understand and get it.

He asked Adam, "Where art thou?" Sometimes we don't realize where we are in life and it takes the voice of God to remind us.

He asked Moses, "What is that that you have in your hand?" Many times the very blessing we need is already in our grasp.

He asked Malachi, "Will a man rob God?" It's so easy to give our time to everything but the work of The Lord.

He asked Ezekiel, "Can these bones live?" Sometimes you may think a situation in your life has died, but God is reminding you that it can live. It's not dead. It's not over.

He asked a lame man, "Wilt thou be made whole?" God already knows He has the power to deliver you but you need to want to be delivered.

He asked Abraham, "Is there anything too hard for God?"

Think about that as you're going through life. I don't care what it looks like. There is nothing too hard for God to do.

Praying for you today. Your friend and brother,
Tyler

I read this post and I didn't get it. Maybe it's because last night my daughter and I were blessed to spend the night in a hotel room in separate beds, not one in a twin and one on the floor, but separate beds in a nice room. I did not get it, maybe because once again I had to figure out how we going to get back to a state where we could sleep on somebody's something or who I could leave my daughter with to start her junior year of high school. I prayed. I took the step of faith and now we have an air mattress for her and a sofa for me to sleep on until Friday. No job, but everyone wants to interview me. So I didn't get it. I try not to complain and to be there for everyone. I hate to ask and ashamed to accept when given sometimes. GOD knows the answer, right? I'm glad HE does, because I don't the question I'm not asking nor the answer I'm seeking. #honestymoment

...I love the ring of your closing salutation..Friend and Brother.... It does some thing to my inside.. gives me a great feeling...I LOVE THIS FAMILY OF GOD!!!! ****As always, you are """lifted"" right.. don't want to use the D word. God is Omnipotent!!!I believe and I know... THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING... HE CAN NOT DO... A twitter friend of mine {Riley Stephenson) once wrote... that.. God ONLY GIVES THREE ANSWERS TO PRAY (1) Yes (2) Not Yet and (3) I have something better in mind... so i understand completely that even when it seems as though God is not coming through and the situation looks IMPOSSIBLE.. HE IS WORKING IT ALL OUT!!!... Kudos my dear... am yet to start my jogging.. but i have conquered my addiction to coca cola and i now make best choices with regards to my health choices. KEEP STEPPING ******Plenty of love...xoxo

You have said a lot of "extremely meaningful" things, but for me--on a personal level, this has meant the most..."Praying for you today. Your friend and brother, Tyler". THANK YOU. <3

God asked me the same question some years ago over & over again, "Is there anything too hard for me?" My response was always "No, there's nothing too hard for God." Little did I know I was being prepared to deal with a phone call from the doctor with news about cancer, since Ovarian cancer is hereditary. BUT GOD!! He showed up and left the doctors and nurses in a wonder, because when they went in to perform some additional test, they were amazed to find nothing to complete the test with. Trust the one that knows you the best!

RE: When God Asks a Question I want to thank you for your inspiring words that encourage myself and others to keep going, pushing forward, no matter what life looks like. I thank you for being a man of God. Keep on doing what you are doing, there are always going to be people who agree and people who disagree. If you like what you are doing and you believe that God is pleased, that is all that MATTERS!!! God bless you.

Thanks Tyler and how are you doing today? I believe the question God is trying to ask me now is 'Marietta what do you want'...not that He doesn't know, its just that He wants me to trust him enough to know that He is my father and He will always there for me. Thanks for reminding me that.

Amen! Tyler your message is outstanding; and represented an auspicious event for me, today! The power of "knee-mail" is AMAZING because God is AMAZING. With the presence of some serious health stuff going on, subsequently, I decided to implement "G-O-D-S-P-L-A-N" in accordance with eight laws of health. G - Godly trust (Genesis 2:17) O - Open air (Genesis 1:6, 7) D - Daily exercise (Genesis 2:15) S - Sunshine (Genesis 1:16) P - Proper Rest (Genesis 2:3) L - Lots of Water (Genesis 2:10) A - Always Temperate (Genesis 2:16, 17) N - Nutrition - (Genesis 1:29) With the understanding that "we" (i.e., human beings) were formed by God from the dust of the ground (Genesis 2.7 - KJV), last May, I went to a place in Tennessee called "M.E.E.T. Ministry" (i.e., meetministry.org) for 18 days. As a result, I realized the gradual reversal of the serious health stuff and my health being restored. Simply following the Owner's manual (i.e., "Holy Bible" - KJV). To God be the glory! God provides everything that we need. Dr. Jackson, M.E.E.T. Ministry says "heredity loads the gun but lifestyle pulls the trigger". Literally, much of what we need to sustain the human body can be found in the soil. So, let your food be your medicine and medicine be your food. Again, to God be the glory! Thank you for your message, Tyler, as I am overflowing with 'thankfulness'. Tyler, keep the inspirational messages coming; and, may God continue to bless you, as well.
