They Think I Can't Do it!

There are a lot of people who think I can't do this. There are also a lot of people who think you won't show up because I'm not playing Madea. There are also a lot of people who are working overtime to try to discourage you from seeing Alex Cross as they do with all of my films... I'm hoping you'll prove them all wrong.

Can you believe we've done this 15 times? I gotta tell you, I'm so hoping you are planning on going out to see Alex Cross this weekend. I have never been more excited for you to see me do something. This is totally different for me. I loved it and I think you're going to love it too. You know that the opening weekend is how you're judged in Hollywood. So if you can, please try to get out this weekend. Be sure to check your ticket stubs to make certain they say "Alex Cross" and whatever you do, drop me a message to let me know what you thought. I love to sit by the message board and read your comments. You're the real critics. And judging from what I read on the board from those of you who went to last night's late night shows, you loved it too. TELL SOMEBODY... LOL

I know you may not know this, but there is a lot riding on this film. This is the first time that I have ever been considered for a role like this. Hollywood has never even offered it to me. I've done my best and I've done all I can. It's in your hands now.

I feel like a little kid in church about to do my first solo! :-)

Take someone with you if you can. This is an experience that should be shared.

Tom Joyner has "take a loved one to the doctor day"... Well today is "take a doubter to the movie day".

Alex Cross in theaters RIGHT NOW!!!

I love you guys so much. Thanks for all you've done for me, my employees and their families.

Be blessed,

Tyler

(Tyler) Alex Cross, I was in awe in this movie. Each and every movie in which you're in a message is in it. Through it all God brings you through it. If it doesn't kill you , it makes you stronger and that was clear and thanks for another award wining performance.

I saw the movie last night and I loved it! I was very excited to go see it and was not disappointed. It's different for you but you have talent and I think that anything you set your mind to do you will achieve it. Forget about the haters they will always talk. Congrats and continue to prove people wrong LOL

I would love to go see your new movie Alex Cross. I wish I has the extra money to go and see it. I am a single parent of a 2 year old. I have learned a lot by watching your movies and plays and i thank you for doing what you do. Me and my mother watch at least three of your plays or movies every night. My daughter calls you the purple princess. She also loves watching your plays and movies. I think that you doing this movie is a great thing for you to do.

Hi, Shelly, Like yourself I don't have the extra money to see Alex Cross right now, but I think that is all about to change. Check out this website: tvcmatrix.com/9. Motor Club of America has over 7 million members since 1926. Anyone 18 with a credit/debit card or savings/checking account can join MCA ($39.90 and $19.95 per month). I also just learned that you can become an Associate of TVC without the MCA membership. Each week that you share MCA with someone, TVC Marketing sends you a check for $77 for each membership or puts it into your checking or savings account the next Friday. When you click on the link you will see all the amazing benefits in this Total Security Package. If your mother can become a MCA member under you ($39.90 for 2 months), she will also have her own business and YOU will receive $80 minus the bank fee of $3. God bless all three of you, Shelly. YOU ARE VERY SPECIAL! Love from Denver, Frances

Hey Tyler! Just got back from seeing Alex Cross despite all those lies and bad reviews I was reading about it...what do they know. They get paid for the propaganda. It was great, well done my brotha I loved it. It had me on the edge of my seat with suspense, It had me in tears, gnashing of teeth lol, It had me cussing out the "Good guy J*** from Lost" lol He did phenomenal too. I loved the guy who played your partner I seen him in a few other movies. I always loved his accent! Tyler, Hollywood is blind, they give you c*** for this movie just because your a successful talented black man. Same way they give Obama crap. People want to beat around it, but it the end we know its a racial thing. That's really what it boils down too. They did the same thing to Jamie Foxx when he transitioned from comedy to dramatic acting in Ali, then he proved them all wrong again when he took home that Oscar a few years later. I see it in your career Tyler! You will take an Oscar home too. God will give you your role! Trust in Him, I know you do. Keep doing dramas and branching out, its great, it shows all your capabilities. Good job, the people in Kansas City loved it at our plaza theater tonight! Keep them coming :)) Those critics can go to h*** with Spike Lee...Let them print that!

Greetings, Mr. Perry, I will not go to see the movie because I hate going to movie theaters but rest assure that when the movie will come out on DVD, I will see it. I don't base myself on film critic, I am my own critic. I saw the trailer of the movie on you tube and I love it. I know that in France we black people we will go see the movie so all you have to do is to make sure the movie comes out where there's also a huge population of blacks in Europe. I support your movies and will always do. Don't worry about the haters just do what you know best which is directing and acting. It amazes me how in America some including blacks will not support you but will rather do everything to keep you down. Rest assure that you have some great fans out there in the US and abroard who love your movies. No matter the outcome, you gave your best and I believe that more is yet to come in your successful career. I may not be an african/American but I do know that as a French black woman leaving temporarily in the States, my friends and I have seen most of your movies. I love, "Why did I get Married" part 1 and 2. Can't wait for the follow up, if there's one. Maybe you should come to France and open a production company there.... Paris and Cannes will be a great place to start. Keep up the good work and congrats on your new movie. Best, Valerie

No, the problem isn't that "They Think You Can't Do It!", they just wish you "Wouldn't" do it! There is a big difference. You have always and will always believe that you are talented. Just because you can look at a script and recite your lines, does not qualify you to believe you are an actor. I can take a single frame from any Morgan Freeman movie and his talent will say more in that frame that you will ever be able to say in a career. I know in your narcissistic mind you actually believe that your zombies, ah em, fans will now come out in droves because the Madea Cult Leader has spoken...they will not, deal with it. It is an insult to your audiences' intelligence, (that's a laugh), to insist that they spend their hard earned money to support your extravagant lifestyle. Shame on you as a writer, a director, an (laughs) actor and an opportunist.

I'm glad you are getting 'bitch-slapped' by the critics and being ignored by the rest of America. Please, stop trying to act. Okay? It's a free country, continue to write the c*** you believe is writing, just don't try to sell it to the rest of us. Offer all of your soon to be video c*** on your website so it doesn't pollute the already congested with sh*t like the Kardashians, Honey Boo Boo and name any hillbilly show on tv. In closing, Tyler, you suck, your music sucks, you are below mediocre, you will one day end up as a alcoholic touring fairs and tradeshows dressed as Madea. Good Luck with all the future garbage you will undoubtedly write and actually believe is worth sharing.
