I'm Still In The Fight!

One day I’m going to write a book and tell you about all the crap that goes on behind the scenes in my life. Good God almighty, you won't believe some of the things I have to deal with. You would think that by now I wouldn’t have to fight to release a movie... but I do. Everything is a fight. I mean everything. By the time the movie comes out I’m so exhausted from the fight that it’s hard to unwind and take it all in.

Hear me good when I say this to you, I never take for granted that you are going to come out and see my films. Never. I know that you have a lot of choices and a lot of other things you can do with your time and money, so all I can tell you is that I’m so glad that you do and that you have been with me from the beginning. This means the world to me. It really does. That is where I get my rewards, knowing that you are with me. I want you to know that I, and everybody that works at TPS and their families, appreciate it so much.

With that said, MADEA’S WITNESS PROTECTION opens Friday, June 29th. That’s tomorrow. Just to let you know where this idea came from... I was sitting at dinner with a friend and I said to them, “the punishment for Bernie Madoff should have been that he had to move in with Madea." Isn’t the thought of that funny? Light bulbs went off in my head, so I wrote THE FUNNIEST Madea movie I’ve ever written. You’ll see! This movie is hilarious. It’s nonstop laughter. I sure hope you have plans to go out and take your family, friends, social and church groups to see MADEA’S WITNESS PROTECTION this weekend. The first weekend is so important. That’s how you’re judged in Hollywood. And that is how you can help me fight, by showing up at the movie theater this weekend.

I sure hope you still have my back… I need your help to win this fight.

I’ll be on Facebook, Twitter and tylerperry.com’s message board reading your comments.

Talk soon,

I really wish you would write that book. It is truly amazing the amount and level of c*** you have to put up with in life just to be yourself. I pray everyday just to make it through another day knowing that there is c*** waiting for me just like you know there is c*** waiting on you. My mother use to tell me, when the c*** appear, take it and put it in God's Hands and let go and he will send Jesus down to fix it but sometime I feel as though I put so much c*** in His Hands that a lot of it spills back down to me and I just have to deal with it. I know that a lot of the c*** has to do with your movies. I say to all the C*** Disher Outers, if it is not broken DO NOT break it for the rest of us who love Tyler Perry and all that he do for us. Otherwise Back The F### Off. Love You..........TP TOO.

I'm already there! Me and anyone i can grab standing out of the movies trying to see something else! I am crzy like that when I wanna give back 2 someone who's given me and so many others so much and doesn't even know it. And thanks for your CONSTANT words and encouragement to us "hopeful unknowns" lol but with steady dreams of being a "known" one day.. Because like you, the necessary recipe I've observed from you over the years is prayer, unshakeable faith, talent, empathy, sticking to your morals, treating others the way you'd like 2 be treated, stay grounded...Now slather ALL that up in your hands with some Palmers cocoa butter and apply it to your THICK SKIN....because thats necessary in high altitudes on the flight to success especially Hollywood. And lastly, during this weekend especially.. my humble advice 2 u is as the talented actress Frances Foster so passionately told Malcolm as played by Denzel in the movie Malcolm X ..... " Don't you pay them folks no never mind! "you just keep right on doing what your doing."I'll pray for you son... Jesus will protect you." ( now its ironic these very sincere lines Spike Lee wrote seems more fitting advice this character would tell you with regards to Spike and his hang ups with you... Hellerrr!) Jus sayin! God speed to you Mr.Perry. From a supporter & believer Tia ;)

Hi Tyler, I am curious why you are releasing this movie in the summer. You have had the majority of your success releasing the films in the Fall or Early part of the year, with February being the month you chose the most. Summers are notoriously Blockbuster times, with Major Film studios releasing action movies with heavy special effects. Why release this movie now and let it get lost in the hustle and bustle of the summer? Thats not to say that you wont have success this time, but up until now you had a great deal of success avoiding this time of the year.

Tyler, Thank you for bringing laughter to our hearts. That is so important, especially in this time and age. I really enjoy your movies, tv shows, and your character Madea. I also like the way you are supportive of the actors and actresses that are in your projects, as i see so many familiar faces. I plan to see your movie this weekend with my family. Thanks for all that you do Tyler. You seem to be very caring and humble from the outside looking in. Please continue to do what you do, making others smile, because at the end of the day, you're going to be blessed.

Hello Mr. Tyler :), I guess you should just say "Thank you Jesus" because you have to go thru so much :) God Knows and Knew you could handle it all so he allows the enemy to toy with you because God knows "Tyler will turn that into a m***** piece" :). Your an awesome writer/producer you create what so many people are going thru and it helps them find solutions on "getting out" of every situation. Keep allowing God to use you so u can keep blessing "Gods Nation". Me and my son "Tyler" will be watching tomorrow. continue to stay blessed as u allow God to order your every step :)
