I'm Still In The Fight!

One day I’m going to write a book and tell you about all the crap that goes on behind the scenes in my life. Good God almighty, you won't believe some of the things I have to deal with. You would think that by now I wouldn’t have to fight to release a movie... but I do. Everything is a fight. I mean everything. By the time the movie comes out I’m so exhausted from the fight that it’s hard to unwind and take it all in.

Hear me good when I say this to you, I never take for granted that you are going to come out and see my films. Never. I know that you have a lot of choices and a lot of other things you can do with your time and money, so all I can tell you is that I’m so glad that you do and that you have been with me from the beginning. This means the world to me. It really does. That is where I get my rewards, knowing that you are with me. I want you to know that I, and everybody that works at TPS and their families, appreciate it so much.

With that said, MADEA’S WITNESS PROTECTION opens Friday, June 29th. That’s tomorrow. Just to let you know where this idea came from... I was sitting at dinner with a friend and I said to them, “the punishment for Bernie Madoff should have been that he had to move in with Madea." Isn’t the thought of that funny? Light bulbs went off in my head, so I wrote THE FUNNIEST Madea movie I’ve ever written. You’ll see! This movie is hilarious. It’s nonstop laughter. I sure hope you have plans to go out and take your family, friends, social and church groups to see MADEA’S WITNESS PROTECTION this weekend. The first weekend is so important. That’s how you’re judged in Hollywood. And that is how you can help me fight, by showing up at the movie theater this weekend.

I sure hope you still have my back… I need your help to win this fight.

I’ll be on Facebook, Twitter and tylerperry.com’s message board reading your comments.

Talk soon,

Ah, Tyler, your stories/films will always prevail. People love to laugh. I've been immersed in theater and talent most of my life. Anyone who doesn't find Madea hilariously funny no longer has a pulse. As much fun as Madea engenders, I believe your immense talent will continue to flower in ways no one yet imagines. You have great stores of acting ability not yet explored. Can you imagine yourself playing Hamlet, or Iago? I can.

Tyler grace and peace to you from our lord and saviour Jesus Christ. I went to see Madea's Witness Protection, OMG and I woke up this morning still cracking up. This movie is so hararious, you won't stop laughing. YOU ALL HAVE TO SUPPORT THIS. FUNNY, FUNNY!!! FYI, I went to Cobble Hill Regal downtown brooklyn on Court St and the threatre was packed, unbelievable. When I arrived all your prior shows was stole out. Tyler the movie was fantatic, I had a wonderful time and so did the rest of my family. The only bumper for me was that you filmed part of this movie in NYC and I didn't get to see you out here. Honestly, I know most of your work is base in Atlanta and it often hard trying to get out on that side cause I don't like to fly which is weird, because I started flying since I was 6yrs old and is 33 now. Needless to say, thank god for your creativity, continue to stay strong, pray always and always choose to be in the love of Christ, do not compromise for no one especially HOLLY WOOD. PS. I know that you're an extremely busy person, but if you're able to honor me with a 2min phone call just to say hello to one of your biggest fans, that will be great. Plus it will be a way to prove to the rest of my family who are laughing at me for writing this that all things are possible through christ if you believe ....:) God Bless.

Remember, the battle is not your's but the Lord's. Do what you can in the natural & let Him do the SUPERnatural. For we do not battle against flesh & blood, but of principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Rest assured, you are covered in our prayers, in Jesus name. Amen?

Just watched "Madea's Witness Protection"! This is by far the funniest Madea movie yet! Even though I had to sit very close to the screen due to the fact the theater was full, I enjoyed every minute of the movie. Keep up the good work!

Where to start can I just say I have been a fan ever sense diary of a mad black woman came out in theaters, that was when I discovered all your amazing stage plays . I find you to be not only one of the best writers, directors and actors there is but one though I don't know you personally who seemes to have some actual integrety as a human being as well. I hope you never stop doing what it is you do no matter how difficult it may be at times. Wishing you all the best hears to what I know will be another amazing and successful film.

Hi Mr. Perry: I think you can rest assured that your fans are loyal and will continue to support you no matter what HOLLYWOOD says. You have someone in your corner who always has the last say. He has proven Himself to you over and over. He has never failed so as long as He is for you it is better than the whole world against you. I am anxious to see MADEAS WITNESS PROTECTION. I absolutely love Mr. Good Deeds. I thought I had other favorites however, this is one of your best works. Saw you on LIVE WITH KELLY. That was different and seeing you in a different role. You looked very comfortable and really happy, in a good place. I pray that you will continually BE BLESSED. GRACE AND PEACE
