I Thank God For Closed Doors

When I wake up in the morning and see the sunrise as I’m running, I thank God for new mercies every day. As I was running this morning I started thinking about this and you know how much I like to share my morning thoughts… LOL

I was out just thinking about my life and all the times that I wished that a door had opened. All the times I had promoters and people lie to me saying that they would help me... I remember wishing the bank would approve my loan request for a house or a car (usually one I couldn’t afford at the time). I wished that this person would help me or that person would do something to help my business, or this person would help my dreams come true.

As I look back now I’m so glad that none of those situations worked out. I’m so glad God closed those doors because they forced me to find the right path for me. If you’re in this situation and you feel like doors are closing all around you and you are frustrated, here’s something I’d like you to think about: Life can be like a living maze. You know what a maze is. In a maze, you start out at one end and your objective is to find your way to the finish line.

Many times you may make a turn and hit a dead end and you have to go another way. Just like life, that door closing on you sends you another way. It doesn’t mean it’s not going to happen, it just means you need to go another way. If you keep moving, eventually you will get to where you’re going.

Another thing that is important when you’re in a maze, as in life, is to remember where you have been. If you get turned around and confused in a maze, in order to get out, you have to remember the dead-ends that you have already hit. Just like in life you have to remember all the doors that were closed so you don’t waste time going that way again. If you want to get to your dreams you can’t expect to get there by doing the same thing and going to the same spots. You must try something different. I’m not saying give up on your dream, I’m saying try another path to the same dream. Same maze, same dream, but take a different direction to get there.

I feel sorry for people who have a dream and give up because it gets hard. Let me tell you something, "IT’S GOING TO GET HARD!" And my answer to that is, "SO WHAT? MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!" Don’t stop because a door closed. I have learned to thank God for closed doors. You have to know that if God wanted you to go that way, no man could close that door. But for some reason he allowed that door to be closed, but if that one was closed I assure you that there is one that is open somewhere. And it’s the right one. Don’t stop until you are living your dream.

Is this helping anybody?

I am a single mother and a United States Army Veteran. Not only do I hold a Masters Degree in Human Resources, I am a talented and licensed M***** Cosmetologist in the State of Georgia and North Carolina. I am having the hardest time gaining a corporate position and finding the support that it takes to open up my own hair salon however, despite the challenges that I face, I still thank God For The Closed Doors. Lord send your MIGHTY angels to help fulfill your destiny and purpose in and for my life!!

I am grateful for You being a vessel in God's work! Cause I know' like I know' the things I am going through, I am not alone, God sustains me! I am nothing without him! The closed door e-mail that I received was exactly what God wanted to me know! He never fails to work through people, places or things! Amazing'' I am holding on and standing still! Waiting patiently for God's direction, the doors close every single time I turn around believing that I am doing what God has planned for me. Still I will keep the faith knowing not to give up! My dreams have not come to pass as of yet? One day just maybe they will. God bless...your steps in all that you continue to do! Thank you!

God is working with me this week. On my birthday, my sister told me the same thing, then later on I went on Joel Osteen's page to listen to some encouraging words and he said the same thing on "Keep Your Vision In Front of You" sermon. And now you. Thanks :)

Tyler.... You are so on the money, it's not even funny! I swear, today has been one of those I wished I'd stayed in the damnBED dayz!! I'm young, single, GORGEOUZ, no kidz, and have had health issues since I was 24 (I'm 31), and I'm tired! Soo Tired! Did I mention that I got a master's degree in theology! So, yeah, kinda smart right? And I say that to say, that all my life I've tried to do the right thing, and follow after God's heart, but today I had a ultrasound for lump/mass on my breast, and I'm just praying to God the results are normal, because i have a work to continue to do for the man above. You are an insane inspiration, and after reading this, I know, I just gotta push through this little health scare. TeamMoTivate! ThanX!

It is yet your experiences that keep me coming back, experiencing great fear trying to convince myself that I am crazy.. Allowing myself to be vulnerable.. Questioning God in relations to allowing me to know the difference between reality and fantasy. "As I ask God the question why me, God replies why not" I find no humor in this situation at all. For the first time in my life I actually felt grounded, fearful in relations to my next step, yet liking my position :) .. My induction into the political arena, my career, my educational attainment, and a nearly defined passion.. I have no problem kicking words - I dont want to get stuck or lose focus of who I wish 2B - I needed remain grounded in the fact that I am living my passion :) :) :) and therefore my passion will lead me 2 my dreams.. As far as dreams what is that? The sins of a single woman, daughter, parent, sibling, and a friend. No its whats at the end of being all of "That".. May you be Blessed, as far as me let just Pray that all is known through my passion :) ..

Hi Tyler Perry I received this message and will read it as often as I can. I'm tried of going in circles in my life. My mother use to tell me "Anything worth having don't come easy". I like the way you explain going through the maze this is so true. Thanks God is so good.

I always take a lot of pride reading your e-mails and this one has helped me more than you will ever know. I lost my father in 2011, many unhappy events have covered me, if not for God, my wonderful husband and your inspiring e-mails I don't know where I would be. God Bless you and Thank you!
