I Thank God For Closed Doors

When I wake up in the morning and see the sunrise as I’m running, I thank God for new mercies every day. As I was running this morning I started thinking about this and you know how much I like to share my morning thoughts… LOL

I was out just thinking about my life and all the times that I wished that a door had opened. All the times I had promoters and people lie to me saying that they would help me... I remember wishing the bank would approve my loan request for a house or a car (usually one I couldn’t afford at the time). I wished that this person would help me or that person would do something to help my business, or this person would help my dreams come true.

As I look back now I’m so glad that none of those situations worked out. I’m so glad God closed those doors because they forced me to find the right path for me. If you’re in this situation and you feel like doors are closing all around you and you are frustrated, here’s something I’d like you to think about: Life can be like a living maze. You know what a maze is. In a maze, you start out at one end and your objective is to find your way to the finish line.

Many times you may make a turn and hit a dead end and you have to go another way. Just like life, that door closing on you sends you another way. It doesn’t mean it’s not going to happen, it just means you need to go another way. If you keep moving, eventually you will get to where you’re going.

Another thing that is important when you’re in a maze, as in life, is to remember where you have been. If you get turned around and confused in a maze, in order to get out, you have to remember the dead-ends that you have already hit. Just like in life you have to remember all the doors that were closed so you don’t waste time going that way again. If you want to get to your dreams you can’t expect to get there by doing the same thing and going to the same spots. You must try something different. I’m not saying give up on your dream, I’m saying try another path to the same dream. Same maze, same dream, but take a different direction to get there.

I feel sorry for people who have a dream and give up because it gets hard. Let me tell you something, "IT’S GOING TO GET HARD!" And my answer to that is, "SO WHAT? MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!" Don’t stop because a door closed. I have learned to thank God for closed doors. You have to know that if God wanted you to go that way, no man could close that door. But for some reason he allowed that door to be closed, but if that one was closed I assure you that there is one that is open somewhere. And it’s the right one. Don’t stop until you are living your dream.

Is this helping anybody?

Good morning Tyler you're right these closing doors have to happen. I'm a divorceing woman with two little kids. I'm a realtor who is working hard, But its hard to get into the High-end homes . It seems as though there some type of pack to not let the little one in but I know there's another door with God... They don't know me Or should I say They don't know the power of him:) God bless you and have a great day! Oh and I forgot to say can't wait to watch the show tonight!

Yes, it helps! I couldn't respond to this email yesterday. I have been dealing with an issue that has literally had me out of my mind for over a year now. We need to learn to listen and act on God's directions sooner! I had been dealing with some r****** behavior on my well paid job! But fearing the inevitable and not trusting God to resolve it in his own time, I didn't let go! I knew that I needed to leave that job! But felt comfortable even in a bad situation! Had it been a bad relationship, I never would have stayed, never even given it a second thought! But it was my Job! My Income! How could I walk away? I should have ran! I let those people break me both mentally and physically. I had lost all confidence in myself and my ability. I have a degree, and had worked in the IT field for nearly 30 years. I am not a child. I was/am still dealing with the death of my older sister. My health was not all that great and I was walking a thin line daily. I would wake up crying each work day and go to bed crying at night. My husband did not even know the pain and anguish that I was enduring. I should have been Praying and letting go! I am now my sister's age when she died, 53, no longer 5 years younger... God was closing that door to Corporate America and I was resisting it! I am working at starting my own business. God is opening many doors for me! As Tamala Mann sings "I'm all Churched out", I can relate on so many levels. It's all about serving God and following his path for us! Still not feeling like myself totally, it is hard to explain. But loving the new path! Thankful to God! Keep giving us these snippets from God! They do help!

There are no wrong turns in life. Thank you for the door reminder, Tyler. If you can't change what happened, you can't regret what happened. In my opinion, regretting is being able to change what happened. It happened and I'm a better person for it. The sun is out today and I love it. Have a great week.

Wow, that just confirmed what I'm going through & how God operates. The maze, & God's grace & mercy. Just go through it. If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it. Beware, the enemy comes to steal, kill, & destroy. It will feel hard. Doors do close. This was right on time. Thank you!!

How timely Tyler, Thank you for sharing this truth...I needed it. Nothing like a reminder when strength I've been in maze, taken a number of wrong turns, but I'm still going strong. My, how I thank God for closed doors. I've come to realise and appreciate them for this is His say of showing me He wants the best for me and expects me to run the race and fight the good fight of faith, trusting in His goodness, strengh and vision. Hi TP, I'm just waking up thinking about this chemistry and microbiology class, how I pay so much for each class and I really don't understand it, my first thought is to quit, but I feel like I'm suppose to be a nurse, and after reading this message I will continue to pray and study; hopefully I can get past all of this cloudiness. Thanks TP God Bless!

Tyler Perry, you always arrive with a message that is perfect aligned with my life at the annointed time and the appointed time. Thank you so much for believing what you do and sharing it with us all. I've observed how, particularly of late, folks have been coming after you. Although you're only doing what you do best, make a real difference in the world and share a creative voice that connects to millions of people, there are those for whom your success is too much to bear. Yet rather than seek out their own success by learning from your example, they attack yours and try to diminish the world, the passion and the obvious understanding of human nature reflected in your films, television shows and other endeavors. Trust me, I know. I can share stories from my career--past and present--that would curl even Madea's hair. But with each challenge and facing every disappointment, I carry on because, like you, I have faith in what I do. I trust in the gifts and tools God gave me. And I never, ever, forget that I have lived through worse. From this post I know that you continue onward, as well, because this is also your narrative. I am a real and true fan. I always will be. Not just of your work, but of the human being you are and the human capacity you continue to put on full display. I write in response to your message because as much as you may have, as much power and fame as you've earned through your work, I know everyone--even you--needs to hear from others that they are supported, appreciated and encouraged in what they do. You are. God's continued blessings to you, Tyler. With them, you will continue to do great things and encourage others of us to do the same.

Amazing, because I've been teaching this lesson for the last five months. Although God has closed specific doors, people keep trying to put me back in the same rat trap, aka: the maze, all so that they don't have to help me, and the clichea there is, I don't even want their conditional help. you know the help that comes with all kinds of conditions attached. When God first started closing doors, I was afraid, but now that he has shown me what's in store behind the new doors he's about to open, I juat want too move forward. I had almost escaped the maze, and life throw in another baracade. I feel that if I can just get out of this box, I will be set free, free to start a new beginning. I know that God can close doors that no man can open, and open doors that no man can close, and I know he is opening one right now as we speak. What I know for sure, is that one day soon, he will open the door for me at TPS. Until then.

I would really love to see you work something out to get thAt show back on tv. I think that show really has more of a story yo tell & I don't think the way the show ended should be left unfinished. But I got really excited when I sen you say you had something in the works for us house of payne fans, so don't keep us hangin!!! Lol. P.S EVEN IF U DON'T BRING BACK HOUSE OF PAYNE CAN U ATLEAST FIND A NEW PROJECT FOR LAVAN & CASSIE DAVIS & DOC SHAW THOESE 3 ARE HILARIOUS ESPECIALLY LAVAN THAT GUY NEEDS TO BE BACK ON TV, A MOVIE OR SOMETHIN!
