How Was Your Fourth?

I hope you had a great Fourth of July. I know I did. I took a few folks on vacation and we had a blast.

Now back to the grind :-). I tell everybody if you're gonna live like you're rich, you better work like you're broke. Too many folks want to live like they're rich and not work. Ain't nobody got time for that :-).

Kevin Hart had a great weekend. His movie "Let Me Explain" opened this weekend. Congrats Kev.

Hey, you know tomorrow is Tuesday, so not only is it The Have And The Have Nots day on OWN but I also have two DVDs coming out. Finally, the most powerful movie I think I've ever done is on DVD: Temptation. You can get it tomorrow, Tuesday. And also, a new play starring Palmer Williams Jr. and Patrice Lovely (Floyd and Hattie) is out on DVD tomorrow. It's called The Haves And The Have Nots, but it's not like the TV show. It's a comedy stage show. Confused yet? LOL.

I wrote the play long before I did the TV show, but I liked the title and the concept so I used it for the TV show. Ok, you get it? I hope so. I hope you get it and you get it. Can you tell I'm rested? Being so silly…

Anywho, I'm headed back to work, then to the gym… too much BBQ and Henn this weekend… LOL.

See you tomorrow on Twitter for The Haves and The Have Nots.

Hello, Tyler. I've posted many comments on this board hoping you'd read them. I heard you're helping screen writers and directors get into the film business, and I hope to be one of them. I'm a string artist, and in 2008, Bishop Paul and Debra Morton bought a portrait of yours I did with strings and gave to you; my name and phone number are on the back of this art. I'm also a gifted writer and I have 14 original scripts including family animated, inspirational and historical fictions. God made me a personal promise that he'll bring those that will get me into the film business. I'm from Africa, and my background and experiences make my stories unique and exotic; I know that Americans and even the world in general are hungry for exotic stories. I'm a Madea fan, and I wrote a 119 page screenplay on Madea that will blow you away. This story will keep Madea around for a while because you know what? It comes with a sequel! I also wrote two episodes of For Better or Worse that are riveting; hey I'm a woman and I keep it real. I say with humility yet confidence that when you see these scripts, you'll want me on your team. There is a time and season for everything under the sun, and I believe strongly that it's my time and sooner or later, you'll discover me. Thank you.

How was my Fourth? Tyler let me tell ya...it was a true blessing! Everyday is a day of thanksgiving, but this one was truly special. I had the pleasure of spending my first Fourth with all of my long-lost siblings and their families! HALLELUJAH! Yeah, all seven of us! Eight were born, sadly one is deceased. Oh boy, this is a long story. I'm number three of eight. Of the eight, three remained with the birth family, while five of us were separated shorty after birth and was either placed in foster care and/or legally adopted. Only the sister next to me and I were adopted out-of-state (by the same family). Most of us didn't find out we were adopted or had other siblings until we were adults. I began my search was 30 years old. My sister and I found out that we had at least three other siblings. But, my search was met with a rejection by a member of the birth family. Apparently, none of the three that remained with the family knew they had other siblings either. So, after much prayer I decided to wait on the Lord. Thanks to God, my niece Crystal, and Ancestry.com, I finally connected with all my siblings in 2011, at the age of 54. Our first Brown Family Reunion was held in Raleigh, NC. Local station WRAL-TV was kind enough to cover our story. God is good! I am so HAPPY! Tyler Perry---Meet the REAL Browns! LOL!
